Eevee had regretted her decision of jumping down the remaining steps of the staircase instantly.

The moment she felt the erratic presence of Black Star's soul, Eevee had instinctively placed herself in a defensive form; her shoulder's relaxed, arms coming up to block her head and chest with an X formation, which was the norm when wielding Curran. The palm of Black Star's hand collided with her forearms as she came down, sending her right back up into the air and towards the wall behind her.

Fortunately for Black Star, Curran was there to block Eevee before she could retaliate with an attack of her own. All she could see was Curran's shoulder blades as he moved side to side, blocking Eevee's view completely each time she tried to lock eyes with her attacker. Finally, she managed to tilt enough to see what was happening on the ground floor without moving her entire body.

Black Star had taken the couple of steps left to reach the landing, now standing in front of Curran with a glare and his ever-present cocky grin when he met his rival assassins.

"Outta the way, pretty boy. This fight isn't with you." Black Star bounced around in what Eevee could only guess was his attempt at a boxing stance. He threw several punches into the air and towards Curran's chest, bouncing back and forth, and then right to left to block the students trying to walk up the stairs. "You gonna fight all her battles for her?"

"I'm her weapon," Curran shoved Black Star, almost managing to push him off the stairs. "That's what I'm supposed to do. Now, back up before I stab you."

"I'd like to see you try!"

"Aim below the belt," Eevee whispered softly to Curran, pulling on his sleeve. "That thing shouldn't be allowed to reproduce. It's for the greater good."

"The greater good would be you two stoppin' this stupid pissin' contest you've had for years," Curran snapped back. His arms were stretched out to his side, both blocking Eevee from jumping forward to attack Black Star's while blocking access to her; Curran would take any hits meant for Eevee. "You can't be wreakin' havoc in the academy the second we come back. Can't you wait three day or a week?"

Eevee pouted, looking up at Curran pleadingly like a puppy would to his owner when wanting something impossible; and as any puppy owner would, Curran cursed, giving in to the impossible. He took a step forward, Eevee following close behind him, her steps in sync with his as they descended the staircase. Slowly he turned, his arm pushing Eevee behind him as his eyes stayed on Black Star. The younger boy held his gaze, grinning as he matched Curran step by step, jumping to the ground floors before Curran and Eevee took their last step.

The crowd broke out in loud murmurs. Partly because they were sure the real fight was about to begin, and partly because they were getting a clear view of one of the top meisters in the academy and she was not what they had envisioned. She was smaller than they thought, quieter than they believed as she was said to be the rival of Black Star, and she didn't seem to be completely there. Her eyes were wondering around the academy halls while her weapon formed a wall between her and Black Star.

Eevee wore a mixture of the optional Shibusen uniforms; a short, navy blue skirt with black tights underneath, covering every inch of skin that would otherwise be bared by the small skirt, a white collared shirt buttoned all the way up, except for the last button, and a loose, shapeless red bowtie. Her brown hair was neatly tied up in twin tails, held in place by bright red ribbon, the same shade as her bowtie, tied in perfect bows. Black leather combat boots where her shoes of choice, and the one thing on her that was not part of a standard academy uniform.
