CHAPTER
I woke up in the middle of the afternoon. I stretch my hands and my feet.
*yawns
She’s gone
“What time is it?” I said to myself
I checked my wristwatch to see the time, and I was shocked to realize that I missed two of my subjects for this day.
“Oh well.
“Analisse.” I said her name and smiled
“I finally found you.”
I’m lying in the grassy field of the school. School’s done and I scribbled some notes in my notebook. I don’t want to go home this early, so as usual I decided to hang in here for a while.
“Ang cuuuuuuuuuute mo naman!"
A girl squeezes my cheeks so hard.
“A-araaaaay ku p-“ I stopped. And saw a girl in front of me. She has a sketch pad and a set of pencils in her hand.
“You’re in my spot.” She giggles
“Sorry, I didn’t know” I replied apologetically.
“S’ ok! Just gimme some a place to sit on ok?"
“Uh here.” I moved aside from where I was to give her space.
She told me her name is Sena, she’s a senior in painting (visual arts) she focuses on oil painting, but she’s good in any other styles. She has a long blonde hair, she wears glasses and baggy clothes.
Minutes passed, and I was surprised to see her sketchbook imitating the exact image of what’s in front of her. A wide field filled with trees and flowers, benches, clouds and pathways. She drew it with charcoal pencils, but the whole picture looked so real.
“Miss Sena, I have to go now."
“Aww, what a waste, ako nanaman maiiwang mag-isa dito” She complains.
“I’m sorry, but I really have to go. Thanks for showing me your drawing.”
She smiles and waves.
On my way home, I can’t help but think that Miss Sena looks so familiar.
But I perished the thought.
I got home just in time for dinner. Jacqueline pounced at me and wagged her tail, showing excitement.
“Jacqueline! Stop it girl! Hahaha namiss mo talaga ako no?”
*arf!* *arf!*
Jacqueline barks.
We had vegetables for dinner, Uncle and Auntie are retired cooks from a 5 star hotel overseas. They have a son studying culinary arts abroad. My meals are always delicious and the best because of their cooking.
“Auntie, Uncle, you’re cooking is always masarap! Sana po you’ll keep cooking meals like these!” I said excitingly.
“Nako hijo, enough with the flattery, kumain ka na dyan” says auntie.
Uncle is always reading the newspaper, he answers the puzzles at the back after reading everything.
“O, Topher, kumusta na yung paghahanap mo sa babaeng yun?” asks uncle.
“A-eh, ho?” I was dumbfounded when uncle asked that question.
“Who told you po?”
“Your mom called earlier, and told us the reason why you came back.” He replies
“Oh them.” I always detest my parents, when I was a kid, I never got to spend so much time with them, because they always work, they come home thrice a week, and they never talk to each other. I admit, we have lots of money but my mom and dad would always have a quarrel about it. That’s why I grew up knowing how to take care of myself independently.
“Wag ka nang magalit sa mga magulang mo Topher. Alam mo ginagawa nila iyon para sa ikakabuti mo.” Says Auntie.
“Opo.” I replied negligibly.
“O sya sya hijo, go take your rest na you have classes tomorrow.”
“Opo, thanks for the meal again.”
After that, I fed Jacqueline and put my stuff in my room and slept.

Uh-I couldn’t sleep. Because of all the things that happened today, I couldn’t seem to close my eyes. Her song repeated in my mind so many times now, she sang for me! Heheh. I’m so happy she did. I wish she’d sing for me again and again and again.
