"Ree." I heard Jason's voice say, snapping me out of my thoughts. I turned and he pulled me into a strong, but gentle hug. "You do t have to hide it from me." he whispered. Instantly i felt tears stinging my eyes and held Jason tighter. He was, out of our whole group the closest to me. He knew what to say and i knew that i did t have to be strong around him. I could let my walls down and he wouldnt take advantage of me. I hadnt realized that i was actually crying until i noticed how wet Jason's shoulder had gotten.
"Sorry." i said, lifting my head up to signal for him to let go....but he didnt.
"Its okay," he whispered into my hair, still holding into me."What did he do to you?" he then asks, making me look up at him. My heart tightened in my chest and i felt the fimiliar sting of tears again.
"He-" my voice cracked. "He tried to take me right here. He wasnt gon a take no for an answer Jason! he wanted to rape me!" i sobbed. Jason brushed the tears away from my face and was listening intently. "Sam......he held me so tight. I-I couldnt move away and he stuck his hand down my-" my voice broke again and i covered my mouth to muffle the sobs.
"Shhh," Jason cooed, moving my hands and culling my face.
"He's not gonna leave me alone...he wont stop." i almost whispered. Jason shook his head and rested his forehead against mine.
"Ree. You'll be okay. Ricky and I wont let him touch you again." he smiled and kissed me on the cheek making me grin. "Now," he started in a much happier tone. "Let's go to Starbucks and get your favorite."he said and put his arm over my shoulder.
"Can we get Arizona afterwards?" i asked, looking up at him with puppy dog eyes and he chuckled.
"Yeah, I think you deserve it." Jason and I then managed to walk to his car smiles plastered on our faces but on the inside, Sam's words still ate at me.
"I'll see you around."
