//Your// PoV
Well, nothing else happened for the majority of the day. So now my story continues up to the point of the dinner rush at Skatez. I have to look cool since I work there, and it's a bit difficult. Don't get me wrong, I love working there! It's just, serving food in roller skates seems a bit dangerous. So thank goodness for the hard training.
The place itself was black with neon splatters on the walls, the lights alternating between black lights and normal. My uniform consisted of my ripped jeans, teal polo, and red Converse knockoffs that my skates attached to. You know that little apron thing servers usually wore? I was able to wear that at my hip rather than in front. My Lapis bracelet made little clicks against my pen as I rode up to the next table I was to serve.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the sight of... Six gaping teenage boys; just perfect. "Good evening and welcome to Skatez! My name is //name// and I will be your waitress tonight!" I stated with a plastered on smile. After quickly attempting to recompose themselves, a blonde in a green T, khakis, and forest green sneakers smiled charmingly at me. "Well then, my name's Ben. But you can call me your dream man~" He smoothly informed and winked. I wasn't buying it, with that cocky attitude he was likely a player.
"Shut it, limecicle!" Another boy sneered. He was a very bedraggled looking brunette teen, which was normal for most teen boys. On his hand were gloves though, and not the normal type that made one's hands more clumsy and less useful.
"Why don't you shut it Spaz!"
"No you!"
"No you!!"
That's when a lanky, tall boy in the group laughed aloud. He was by far the tallest of the bunch. Despite his monochrome style and lengthy dark hair, he definitely looked like an impish guy. He caught my stare and stared right back with a wide grin. "Hello there, love!" This of course made me immediately look sheepishly at my feet, quickly remembering my manners.
"Awwe! Don't be shy, call me LJ! The guy yelling at the flirty limecicle is Toby," He gestured to the bickering pair. "The inseparable over the are Tim and Brian," My line of vision was directed at two silent boys, a blonde and a chocolate brown. The blonde was clearly more introverted then his partner. "And finally, here we have Jeff!" LJ stated with an ever widening grin. He roughly pulled an equally lanky, pale boy to his side right out of his seat. This one however, gave me quite the eerie feeling compared to the others.
He had a cold look in his eyes, which seemed to never blink. He wasn't as tall as LJ, but he still seemed to tower over me. This boy had lengthy, pitch black hair that had an almost greasy quality to it. His smile though, was the creepiest thing I'd ever seen. It was the only one that could have been larger than LJ's, which was definitely saying something. "Hey..." He stated, voice sounding gruff and scratchy with undertones leaning toward dangerous malice. Ya, it'd probably be best not to be in the same room as him alone...
Snapping out of my train of thought, I rapidly too their orders and skated out of there as quick as I could without seeming like I was in too much of a hurry. It didn't take half as long as I thought it would be for the orders to be ready, though I needed a bit of help from a coworker I rarely talked to to get them all out there. Much to my surprise, my section had completely emptied with the exemption of those strange boys. It wasn't very full to begin with, but I still had enough that they shouldn't have just left! These guys freaked me out a bit, and now I was left with only them. How great is that? Where I work, we do things a bit differently.
We do have tables, we have sections. Probably to cut down on the cost of server payments, cheap bastards... Back on topic, I was now alone with these guys, and it freaked me out just a bit. The situation definitely seemed suspicious, and they just kept right on chatting, looking as if they had no clue of their weird surroundings, like they were trying to make me think they had nothing to do with it.
At the time though, I fell for it, thinking it was just one of those coincidental moments everyone jumps to conclusions on. Big mistake, but I found that out latter. Anyway, the more naïve me quickly distributed food and drinks before skating away to bus the other tables and get out of there as quick as possible. Though, I couldn't help but notice the feeling of stares burning into the back of my head. It was too unnerving for my taste. But this of course gave me a reason to hurry out of there all the more. In a few minutes, the other tables were clear and I was out of there.
About half an hour later, I was and wasn't surprised to what I had come back to. As soon as came back, I was greeted by stares from 6 pairs of eyes. Then again it seemed that Jeff couldn't do anything /but/ stare... That was neither here nor there, bottom line was it was making me uncomfortable by the second. An all-to-well known note card was lifted into my view. What was it for? Allow me to enlighten; depending on the section one is assigned to, there were themes to follow. My section theme was dance, see where I'm going with this?
I've been working all night and would prefer not to do anything but go home. "Must I? It's been a long day..." I grumbled, leaning against a wall. A small chuckle arose from one of them. "Oh, but Mrs. //name//, it says here you have to if we ask." Toby replied with a widening grin. A sigh passed my lips and I moved to a seat to pull off my skates. "Fine..." Pulling a small remote out of my pocket, I pressed a few buttons and music began to spill from the speakers in the walls.
It didn't take long for a few unoccupied servers to spill in, taking a small break to have a bit of fun. Not that I had a problem with it; it just meant it'd be easier to try slipping away when I could. After all, these guys still gave me the creeps. Like, just the air about them felt off. It felt like if I were to turn my back on them for one second, they'd be gone one moment and everywhere at once the next. You understand what I mean?
Back on topic, I then took the time to actually sit down to take my skates off, only to find it being tugged off not two seconds later by Ben. However, the moment Toby found out, he sort of head butted Ben... This was not turning out to be the night I planned to have. But in no time, my skates were gone and I was trapped in the small crowd. This is why I prefer not to dance. For me, it mostly ended up that I was shoved around a bit before managing to slip away and just leave. Sadly I was at work though so I couldn't necessarily do that, now could I?
Something was different. Very different, all of the sudden. I couldn't seem to put my finger on it. Looking around the room, everything looked normal. Nothing had changed. That was until, I looked just out the window. Someone was standing across the street. That didn't seem to odd at first, but they weren't moving. Just standing there, looking in. I couldn't see the figure's face, blurred out by the light of the street lamp.
They were taller than any person should be, and the longer I stared, the taller they seemed to get. I rubbed my eyes, just to make sure they weren't playing tricks on me. But when I opened my eyes again, there was just a normal business man, walking across the street while talking on the phone. I assumed I was just tired, why else would I see things like that?
