15. Misunderstanding

Here's the idea:

It's was ridiculous enough that you fell in love with one of your best friends when they either had a girlfriend, love interest or no feelings for you at all. You had to go and worry everyone, didn't you? Why on Eos would you fall in love with an enemy!?

Well...you didn't. But they think you did.

Who would that enemy be? Ravus? Ardyn(he's a bit on the sugar daddy side, isn't he?)? What would they do? What would you do?

NOTE: This one would go well in a 'university life' kind of scenario, wouldn't it? No road trip, no royalty, no war~ There could be crazy pairings in it too! Like:

Gladio - Law School x Aranea - International Relations

She notices you have feelings for her man rather quickly, but she's always in for a good laugh. She makes sure that you like him and them exposes you in front of everyone. You literally sucker punch her. But feeling too embarrassed to face anyone ever again you vanish for some time.

Ignis and Randy(as in random) - Gastronomy School

Randy is really vicious despite his fake friendliness and cute face. He knows Ignis is bi and that he has feelings for you, but he's not willing to let go of the man any time soon. That's why he creates a situation to make you look bad. He provokes you until you slap him knowing Ignis is close seeing the whole thing. He enjoys watching Ignis telling you off and even throwing some harsh truths in your face - since he's known you for a very long time. You're hurt and doesn't want to have to face the man you love any time soon. That's why you make sure to not be anywhere close to the couple for a whole three weeks.

Prompto - Arts School x Cindy - Mechanic Engineering

From the start you notice Cindy doesn't take Prompto seriously and you're super angry about it. She doesn't really mind your rudeness towards her because she knows you just like Prompto too much - she actually finds it kind of sad that it's one sided. Prompto doesn't listen to you when you try to warn him and gets extremely angry when he catches you giving an ultimatum to his 'girlfriend'. He ends up saying a lot of terrible things to you and ending your life-long friendship. Brokenhearted you find comfort in a special opportunity to study and work in Niflheim under the famous Dr. Ardyn, so you leave without a word to anyone. But when Cindy tells him the truth he regrets it. It's just too bad no one knows where you went...

Noctis - Business School x Lunafreya - Psychology

You're a little shocked that Mr. Regis would come up with this craziness of an arranged marriage, especially between you and Noctis. You're so embarrassed about facing your childhood friend that you've been avoiding him for almost a week. But since you all go to the same college you were bound to cross paths with him sooner or later. Still, you didn't expect to overhear him talking to Luna about your arranged marriage, much less his feelings on the matter. It breaks your heart the things you hear him say - what he thinks of you and that he'd accept it if it was to someone he cared about at least.

The problem with eavesdropping is that you're bound to misunderstand things. Noct didn't even know you were the arranged bride.
