Here's the idea:
It's basically a plot about the Hanahaki disease, but with a twist!
So... There's a legend in Insomnia about a man who was once heartbroken because the woman he loved wouldn't return his feelings. It is said he was so overwhelmed and bitter, that he prayed to the Six to have a little mercy on those who ever found themselves in the same situation as his. He wished that they could at least get some sort of relief; if so they wished.
The legend also says the woman he loved ended up dead. She apparently suffocated with flowers that bloomed inside her chest. Surprisingly the flowers were the same ones the man who loved her had gifted her once.
But of course this is just an ancient legend.
Well... In case it isn't clear: this version of Hanahaki doesn't affect the one that harbor feelings for someone that does not love them back. In fact is more of a depiction of being suffocated by someone else's affection.
