Chapter 3 | five months

Grays pov:

I suddenly woke up feeling super drowsy, my throat was dry and was somewhat painful.

I looked around to see I was in a room of metal, I sat up and looked around, as I did I began to hear noises from outside the room I was in.

How did I get here? Was this all a set up? Am I dead?

As I continued walking towards the only part of the room that looked somewhat like a door I saw a top of a head through the window.

My eyes widened, what if this person comes in, sees I'm awake and kills me?

Suddenly the door opened a blond boy walked through, his eyes turned soft and sad.

"Hello" he said as he began to play with his hands

"Where am I?" I asked suddenly growing more worried and filling up with more anxiety

"Space" he said blankly

My eyes widened "excuse me?" I asked

"The mission garner gave you was an actual mission but it's not on earth, it's on a newly found planet in between us and mars, we were scammed into the mission too, I'm Aaron" he said sticking his hand out for me

I grabbed his hand and shook it "how long is it until we are at this place?" I asked

"Right now we are trying to turn the ship around but the control room is locked and it's on auto pilot, if we get all the way to the planet it will take about five months" he said running a hand through his hair

My mouth dropped open "five months?! I'm going to be stuck here for five months?!" I asked beginning to panic

"Hey you're lucky, you were in a medically induced coma for two months, that's probably why you are dying for some water" Aaron said crossing his arms over his chest

I nodded "but how was I put into the coma?" I asked

"Before we took off we put a ventilator in your throat and hooked you up to an iv and all that and then injected you with the barbiturate. Garner said to keep you under until we arrived but you would've faced a lot of trauma to your body" Aaron said as he got some water and handed it to me

"Thanks, are you a doctor?" I asked trying to get to know him seeing I'll have to be with him for possibly the rest of my life

"Yeah, I used to but I didn't like it all that much so I stopped, and then I found garner" Aaron said fiddling with his hands

Suddenly a dark haired boy walked inside the room, he smiled at me and waved

"Hey, what's your name?" I asked

"Jack, nice to finally meet you awake" jack said as he sat on the table I had woken up on

I smiled and looked down at the cup I was holding, hoe could I have been so stupid? Stupid enough to allow someone to do this to me?

"So what have you guys been doing for the past two months?" I asked

They both looked at each other then over to me

"Mainly sleeping, eating and watching the stars outside" Aaron answered

I nodded, that was kinda a stupid question

"I'm sorry you guys got dragged along" I said truly feeling terrible about all this

Jack and Aaron probably have a family on earth or at least someone who misses them, now they will never be able to see them again, all because of that stupid man that had to scam all of us into this situation.

I sighed "so do I have a room?" I asked

"Yeah, jack and I can share a room seeing there are only two" Aaron said as he began to walk out of the room we were in, I followed behind him and looked back to see jack following as well

I walked into the small room Aaron had lead me too, it genuinely wasn't that bad and was quite spacious so there's no need to complain.

I jumped onto my bed and motioned for Aaron and jack to join me, they sat on my bed with me and I smiled.

I looked over to Aaron who seemed to have something in his mind, or something was wrong

"What's wrong?" I asked hoping it wasn't something to serious

"Grayson, later we will have to perform a small procedure on you" Aaron said suddenly

"Where?" I asked

"On your heart" Aaron said biting his lip

"What?! Why?" I asked sitting up and looking at him with fear written all over my face

"Because garner put a little piece of tech on all of us to make sure we survive the living conditions on the new planet, if we don't take it out he will know we are surviving" Aaron explained

I nodded "do it now" I said

Aaron's eyes widened "w-what?" Aaron asked not understanding what I said

"Take the thing out of my heart now, you've obviously done it to jack already and I don't want garner to know I'm alive, I want him to think his plan failed miserably" I said

Aaron stood up "Alright, but it's going to be painful" Aaron said

"Why?" I asked as I walked behind him

"Because we don't have anything to put you under" Aaron said "all we have are numbing creams which do nothing" he added

I nodded "do it anyway, because if he knows the planet is safe he will come and get what he wanted" I said as I walked into the room I had woken up in earlier

I sat on the table and laid down, Aaron sighed loudly as him and jack tied me to the table, they then placed a cloth in my mouth for me to bite down on.

Time for the pain.
