The chilly morning breeze of 5 am had seeped into the room, waking the girl sleeping inside.
Once Y/N had come to her senses, she realized she wasn't dead. Confused, she quickly sat up and felt her neck, but the bite was still there. So why didn't the vampire finish her off? She should be dead, all of her blood should have been siphoned by the mysterious man. Her sudden movements had her swaying slightly, signaling symptoms of blood loss and low blood pressure. Her thin hands gripped the sheets of her bed as she shut her eyes tight to still her dizzying brain. The sheets of her bed were oddly cold, reminding her of the man from last night. Itachi was his name, right?
Why does her mind insist on thinking about Itachi?
Her weak form got up from the cold bed and teetered from side to side as she made her way to her kitchen. Y/N couldn't understand it. Itachi must have let her live last minute, and she should be thanking Kami now that she has been blessed with another go at surviving in the world.
"Goooood morning! Y/N! Oi, you in there?!" Seiko had arrived at Y/N apartment, as promised.
Groggily, Y/N stumbled towards the door.
"Hello, hello! Wake up, we gotta go out today!" Seiko began to bang her fists on the wooden door.
Y/N growled lowly before opening it up rapidly, causing Seiko to tumble in face first.
"Seiko, for the love of Kami, it's five in the morning."
Seiko sheepishly grinned at her best friend, and rubbed her sore brunette scalp at the impact from the floor. "S-sorry, Y/N. Owww, that hurt like a sunnova bitch...." she got up and dusted her short hair and uniform briefly. Y/N couldn't help but smile at her cheeky friend. She has much more energy than anyone else in the Hidden Mist, that's for sure. But she always manages to make Y/N smile every time she visits, and not just her but everyone.
"You said we'll start leaving for the hospital early today to make room for more time together!" Seiko pouted.
Y/N sighed, rubbing her dizzy forehead. "I did say that, didn't I? Sorry, Seiko. Let me get r-ready and we'll go...."
Seiko stood still, and glanced worriedly at her ill friend. She noticed how Y/N looked surprisingly pale today, not to mention her frequent swaying, signs of a migraine. Seiko gently grasped Y/N's shoulders and guided her to the couch. "Y/N you don't look so good. If you'd rather stay here to rest, I can watch over you, okay?"
Seiko flashed her a smile.
That smile always washed away Y/N worries. Nodding, Y/N bid a silent thank you. But another thought popped into her head. Should she tell Seiko about the encounter last night? She shouldn't tell her about the blood loss, although Y/N had a feeling her fellow medical specialist would figure that out on her own. The only question that remained was how the excuse would sound, and if Seiko would believe it. Seiko may be foolish, but she's not stupid.
Hidden in the darkness of the nearby woods was the Uchiha vampire.
He could see everything inside the home, and he was not liking it at all. That revolting friend of his beloved is inside with her, how disgusting. She has no right to touch her like that. If anything, she deserved to die for committing such a crime. He should be the only one to touch and hug Y/N. He should be the only one able to even look at her. Y/N was all he had now, all he ever wanted in someone, and the only one who will get to love her.
Itachi's lips formed an unconscious snarl and his fangs had lengthened.
Why not let off some steam on her other companions? They deserve to die as much as Seiko does. Itachi mused.
I've been feeling a little hungry as of late, anyway.
With the speed of lightning, he had disappeared, leaving only a single crow feather behind.
