Chapter 22:

song: When the darkness comes by shelby merry

I can't believe who i see walk in. "mom?" I feel tears fill my eyes and run to hug her. I run and grab her. I feel her arms wrap around me and I begin to sob. "Is he gone? how are you here?" I ask. "Annabelle, wake up ". Why would she tell me to wake up? I need to know what is going on. "mom?" I ask trying to understand what is going on. "Annabelle, wake up". it is all she is saying,  wake up.

I suddenly feel the world blur and see the whole room change. it becomes black and then bright white. I squint and try to see but there is nothing to see. I suddenly feel a rush of cold air and wrap my arms around myself. I begin to shiver only to be greeted by a breeze of warm air.

I begin to feel my eyes droop and feel weak in my knees. I fall to the ground and curl into a ball. I slowly close my eyes.

I wake up and see my mom and dad huddled over me. "she is awake!" my mom yells. Tears fill her eyes and my dad walks over to me. "this is why we didn't want you downstairs" my dad says. I quickly realize that it wasn't real. none of it. it was all in my head. I grab my mom and hold her and then quickly hug my dad. "how long was I out for?" I ask. "a few hours" my dad responds.

I quickly fall back and smile. "so I'm not a ghost?" I ask. My dad quickly looks at my mom. "I mean yes, but no". I smile, I try to go ghost and it works. "well I guess I have some things to learn"I say with a smile which is returned by both of my parents. "I guess we do" my dad says while turning into his ghost form. I smile and begin to fly out of the house to see my mom smiling.

I am the happiest person alive. Well not alive but pretty darn close.
