James and I rush to our next class almost running into a group of 1st years. For the rest of the morning, we go to classes and hear the same speech we are going to jump right into a review and start new stuff soon. "She can't send a howler that fast I should be safe at lunch" I nod along pretending I know what a howler is. James rushes in and starts to stuff his face with food, soon mail comes floating down I see a bright red card floating down. James sees it too and gets up to run when it opens "JAMES SIRIUS POTTER, DYING YOUR COUSINS HAIR BLUE IS ONE THING BUT THROWING MANDRAKES IS ANOTHER. I DON'T NEED YOUR EXCUSES. I WOULD BAN YOU FROM QUIDDITCH BUT THAT WOULD ALSO PUNISH THE REST OF THE TEAM. I SWEAR I TOLD YOUR DAD NOT TO NAME YOU AFTER TWO MARAUDERS BUT NO. IF YOU DO ONE MORE THING NO HOGSMEADE AND YOU ARE GIVING YOUR DAD THE CLOAK" at the last part Professor Longbottom glared at James dad. The rest of the week we review rules and expectations. Finally, on Monday morning, we are going to be doing something in defense against the dark arts. "I don't know if I'm excited or scared, I mean imagine my dads face if my mum comes out of the wardrobe" James rants to me as we head to defense against the dark arts. As we enter the room all the students are huddled together nervously whispering. After Professor Potter gets everyone to their seats he begins the lesson. "While some of your biggest fears might be something you will never meet this is not graded on how well you face your fear, the reason we face boggarts is to learn how to react in an unexpected situation. Please form a line behind James" "remember "Riddikulus" he says as the wardrobe opens. Out steps a tall woman with ginger hair. Right behind her is Lily sending hexes all just missing James. It's his mother I can infer from the look on Professor Potters face. "Ridiculous" James shouts as the spell hits his mom and sister they shrink into garden gnomes with high pitch voices. Everyone including Professor Potter breaks out laughing as the Boggart falls back into the wardrobe. Everything is going fine till Alice's turn. "Ready," asks Professor potter as he opens the wardrobe. As we crowd around trying to catch a glimpse of what is about to come out a small alligator falls out "Riddik-" as Alice begins the spell the Aligator begins to grow larger and larger till it can hardly fit in the class. Alice blinks then faints the alligator begins crawling towards us till its mouth is in front of us. As its hot sticky breath lands on me James comes to my rescue "Riddikulus" he shouts as soon as the spell hits the alligator it begins to shrink till its the size of a dog toy. As Alice wakes up the class is finally calming down professor potter has a student take her to the infirmary. I step up feeling the eyes of my peers burning my back "Ready" Professor Potter asks me just like everyone else. As the wardrobe opens I feel a wall forming behind me the next thing I know I fall to the ground, my mom steps out alone with Rowan and his mother I hear them arguing, I try to push myself up but I can I can't save her. The next thing I know My mom lets out a cry of pain as Rowan's mother snaps back her fingers. I can't save her I can't save her. The front doors burst open as my dad walks in anger written all over his face. I open my mouth to warn him but nothing comes out. Before I can react Uncle Elijah comes in and stabs him. I lock eyes with my mother for a second before she throws herself outside. I run to her burning body only to be blocked by my father. As he goes to whisper something in my ear Rowan throws the stake right into my dad's heart. Before I can do anything Rowan pushes the stake through my dad into my heart. The black veins are the last thing I see before it goes black.
