"Stile, an arrangement of steps that allows people, but not animals, to climb over a fence." Scott read off the computer screen.
Currently, Scott, Lydia, and I were sitting in the library at school trying to see if we can find anything on "STILES". If it was indeed a person or an object that could maybe help us find the person we're all missing. Since yesterday, we decided that we are all missing somebody and that I'm not entirely crazy.
We had been researching and googling everything we could about the word "STILES" but we were getting nowhere. It was like...we couldn't find anything. At least anything that mattered. We needed to know if Stiles was a person, not an arrangement of steps we use to climb over a stupid fence.
At this point, I was ready to throw the computer across the library and stomp on it until it was shattered to a million pieces. That's how frustrated I was right now because we were getting nowhere. And it seemed like we had been trying to find a clue or something more to point us in the right direction for hours.
And still, despite what seems like hours of researching and googling stuff, we were getting absolutely nowhere. And it was freaking frustrating.
"Yeah, somehow, I don't think these are the Stiles we're looking for." I commented, sighing as I ran a hand through my hair to calm myself down. "I-I don't care about stupid arrangements of steps to climb a fence. There's something more to the name Stiles. It has to be the name of the person we're all missing...We need to find something.." I practically begged, Scott putting a hand on my shoulder, giving it a small reassuring squeeze as he promised me that we would figure this out.
I gave Scott a small smile, silently thanking him. Scott was a really good friend, certainly too good to be a friend of mine but... I just lucked out that he wanted to be friends with me. I don't know what I would do if he wasn't here. Without Derek, I need somebody to help be my moral compass. And Scott is the best person for that job because that guy's moral compass is basically flawless at this point compared to everyone else's.
"Don't worry, we'll figure this out. And we're not giving up until we do." Scott promised me before he turned his attention back to everyone. "Maybe Malia's found something." Scott suggest but Lydia shook her head in response.
"No. She's been taking a make-up test all morning." Lydia answered.
"I wonder how she's doing."
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Well, to say that Malia's make-up test didn't go as well as planned would be.... an understatement. Lydia's mom contacted the three of us and Sheriff Stilinski to let us know that Malia freaked out, shifting and running away.
It didn't take long to figure out she had gone to the school's basement. Lydia and her mentioning how she used to go to the school's basement to get through the full moon's. And sure as luck, we found her in the corner in her werecoyote form, growling at us all.
