"I don't know if this will work, babe. There's hundreds of supernatural creatures that we have never heard of or will probably never come across." I told Stiles while we walked through the school courtyard.

Currently, we were walking through the courtyard as Stiles flipped through the pages of the Bestiary trying to figure out what kind of supernatural creature we were dealing with. Which was proving to be difficult because we were dealing with something or someone who could make people disappear as if they never existed.

"I keep feeling like it's familiar. Like I've heard it before." Stiles said, complaining as he continued flipping through pages of the Bestiary before trading me the book in my hands.

While at the library, we checked out a book and articles on missing people and other freaky occurrences related to people disappearing as if they were never there. Like the colony of Roanoke.

I held the Bestiary in my hands, watching Stiles feverishly flip through the pages in the new book, citing that they were all about people mysteriously vanishing. I sighed, holding the Bestiary close to my chest as I looked at Stiles who had on his "detective" face. It was a cute face but also one that tend to send him in fits of panic induced rages. I watched as Stiles kept reading through the book, commenting how there had to be something they were missing.

"Well, there's a number of stories and urban legends that I heard throughout the years that somewhat tie into people disappearing into thin air. It could be a number of things though, from regular kidnapping to supernatural beings like Valkyries, Sirens, Leshy, Encantado, Changlings...Honestly, any of those alone could be what we're dealing with considering this being Beacon Hills the supernatural hot spot for murderous supernatural beings." I explained to Stiles, trying to get him to calm down a little before he gave himself a migraine but I knew him better than that to know he wouldn't calm down until this thing was solved. "Not to mention, the one thing they all have in common, making people disappear." I quickly added.

Stiles kept flipping through the pages, still continuing to comment on how he feels like he's heard this before. "Okay but how many of them completely erase a person? I mean as if they're just vanished into thin air without a trace? You saw the pictures in Alex's room. It was like he never existed but we know he existed. So we need to find something or someone who can make people disappear like wiping their existence off the face of the earth." Stiles said, taking a second to look over at me as we stopped to stand in the middle of the quad.

I shrugged my shoulders, giving him an uncertain look. "Babe--...I know you want to figure this out, okay? We all do but..I'm also worried about you. You haven't taken a breath or even just a second to slow down since we got back from visiting Derek..." I said, the tone in my voice being soft as I stared at Stiles with a concern look on my face now.

Stiles looked back at me, examining my face as he sighed in defeat. "I-I'm just worried, okay? We need to figure this out and stop it before whatever's making people disappear takes one of our friends away...or worse." Stiles said, making me look at him confused and asking what he meant. "B-before whatever's taking people...takes you away from me. I-I can't lose you again." Stiles said, his voice breaking this time as I could finally see the worry on his face clearly.

I pressed my lips into a thin line, lightly cupping his face in my hands as I stared into his eyes. "I feel the same way, Stiles. I'd kill anything if it meant keeping you safe. Sure it's not the most honorable of feelings or way of thinking but you know me. I would do anything for you and I know you'd do anything for me...and you have." I said, making sure he was looking at my eyes as I spoke to him in a soft voice so he'd listen to me carefully. "So that being said..you sure that's all that's happening? There's nothing else going on inside that beautiful brain of your's?"
