Beca and the rest of the Bellas arrived at an Italian restaurant for dinner. Again, Beca was nervous about going out but she had Chloe and the others by her side so it wasn't as bad. Beca sat next to Chloe and looked through the menu with her girlfriend. Beca rested her arm over the back of Chloe's chair as she read through the food options with the older woman.
"Hmm... What are you getting, babe?" Chloe asked, leaning back into Beca's embrace.
"I reckon the gnocchi with chicken pieces. You?"
"Oh, that sounds nice. I might get the pesto penne."
"Sounds good!"
Chloe smiled and put her menu down and after about ten minutes, a waitress approached their table.
"Good evening ladies and gentleman. Are you ready to order?" She asked with a bubbly smile.
Everyone went around the table and ordered what they wanted then the waitress came around to Beca and asked her.
"And what would you like, handsome?" The waitress purred and Beca frowned slightly at the word handsome but quickly remembered her situation.
"Ah, hi, can I please get the gnocchi with chicken, please?"
"Sure, any specific drink?"
Her voice was low and flirty and it was driving Chloe insane. The other Bellas were watching in apprehension. They all knew what Chloe was like when she was jealous and it wasn't a pretty sight. The waitress was openly flirting with Beca in front of everybody and she didn't even seem to care that Beca still had her arm around Chloe's chair.
"Ah, just a water thanks," Beca said kindly.
Another thing that drove Chloe insane was the fact that Beca had no idea when she was being hit on. Someone could be gazing at Beca and even touching her and Beca would still have no idea. Chloe had to actually tell Beca that they were flirting and even then Beca was skeptical. The fact that Beca was now a man meant that a lot more women would be interested in her and the realisation and recognition of that made Chloe uncomfortable. The redhead knew that Beca would never do anything disloyal to her but it didn't take away the fact that it made Chloe uncomfortable when other people eyed-off and flirted with her girlfriend. Beca was hers in every way, shape, and form. Just because Beca was a man didn't mean that Chloe loved her any less. If anything, Chloe was more protective of Beca because she knew that Beca needed all the help and support she could get.
"Alright, I'll be right back with your drinks," the waitress put her notepad away and winked at Beca before leaving.
Chloe clenched her jaw tightly and glowered at the waitress when she left.
"Look at you, BM! You've got yourself a lady admirer!" Fat Amy spoke up and everyone cringed.
That was the ONE thing that everyone did not even dare to say in front of Chloe since it just fueled her anger and jealousy but Fat Amy didn't think things through and she wasn't the best at reading certain situations either.
"What?" Beca frowned.
"Oh, come on! She was TOTALLY flirting with you!"
Everyone just slouched back in their chairs in an attempt to have nothing to do with the conversation.
"She was not," Beca protested. "She was just being friendly."
"Oh, yeah. Talking low and sexy, calling you handsome, and winking at you was just being friendly," Fat Amy mocked. "If that was being friendly I'd love to see what her flirting is, and if that was just her being friendly, then she would have done that to all of us."
The more Fat Amy spoke the more Chloe got angry and the more uncomfortable the Bellas became.
"She wasn't flirting, was she, guys?" Beca looked around at her fellow Bellas who were dreading to answer but they all mumbled inaudible responses until Chloe decided to speak.
"She was, Becs," the redhead's voice was deadly cool.
"She was?" Beca frowned at her girlfriend.
"Yes, she was," Chloe confirmed through gritted teeth.
"Oh..." Beca stilled and tried to process the new information but was interrupted when the waitress returned with everyone's drinks.
Everyone froze up when the waitress returned and even more so when she purposefully leaned over Beca to give everyone their drinks. She pretty much shoved her breasts in Beca's face but Beca just leaned back. Chloe glared so hard into the side of the waitress's head that she could have burned a hole in the side of it.
"And one water..." The waitress put Beca's water in front of her.
"Thank you," Beca spoke, a little uneasy to interact with the woman.
"You're welcome, handsome. Anything else you need, you let me know..." She put her hand on Beca's shoulder, giving it a little rub.
Everyone was holding their breath at that point. They were just waiting for Chloe do to something, anything. Someone was touching Beca, her Beca, and that was NOT okay. The Bellas just watched Chloe glare at the waitress in what seemed like forever until the waitress removed her hand, gave Beca another wink, then left. Once she was gone, everyone sighed relieved.
"Are you okay?" Beca whispered to Chloe.
The redhead turned to Beca and forced a smile.
"I'm fine," she said. "Just dandy." Chloe grabbed her bread roll next to her and ripped it open violently and began to butter it in the same fashion.
"Are you sure? You seem a little... tense."
The others wanted to laugh at the word but they knew if they did they'd all get the death glare from Chloe and possibly death.
"Beca, I said I'm fine!" The woman snapped.
Beca sat back and removed her arm from around Chloe's chair. She examined her girlfriend carefully, seeing that her baby blue's were now hard and angry and Beca knew that she had to make things right, even though she didn't do anything wrong.
"As you say," Beca spoke then got up and left.
Chloe stopped buttering and watched Beca walk off to the counter. Chloe watched carefully as Beca began speaking with someone. It wasn't the waitress, it was some other worker. He nodded at Beca then left her for a moment and returned with an older woman that began to speak to Beca. They exchanged a small conversation and after a nod and a smile, Beca returned to the table and sat back down next to Chloe.
"What did you do?" Chloe asked.
"I got us a new waitress," Beca answered.
"You what?"
"She was doing something that you didn't like so I got rid of her."
Chloe looked at Beca softly. Her angry eyes were now gone and Beca then looked at the Chloe she knew and loved.
"You did that for me?" Chloe's voice was sweet.
"Of course," Beca smiled softly. "She made me kinda uncomfortable as well and I didn't want to have an uncomfortable dinner."
Chloe gazed at her girlfriend, who she thought was absolutely amazing and the redhead couldn't help but to kiss her briefly and give her a cuddle.
"You're incredible, you know that?" Chloe uttered.
"Anything for you," Beca kissed Chloe's head then released the older woman from her embrace.
The Bellas were now relaxed, especially when another waitress approached their table with their meals and she had no interest in Beca or anyone else.
"The pesto penne?" She spoke.
Chloe smiled and raised her hand. "Me, please."
