Chapter Four
~~~Curious~~~
× Fear and excitement raised in me I watched as the small crack in the egg spread. As quick as I could I grabbed my journal and pencil and started to write the details of the hatching. I couldn't breath questions filled my head.
But panick was the main feeling I had. I didn't want the dragon to hate me.If it did I would never be able to train it. And if I can't train it I fail and if I fail....its lights out or is it Life out? Anyway I couldn't help the but shake in fear.
My handwriting was sloppy and my pencil nearly slipped from my sweaty plam. There was a squeak/growling sound. My eyes stared at the egg as the toped lift up. All I could see were the eyes of the dragon. The were a blueish-gray color a smile made its way to my lips as it looked at me.
Slowly I moved alittle closer to the egg. The dragons eyes watched me curiously but also carefully. "Its okay you can come out," I whispered.
The egg shaked falling over causing the baby dragon to roll out. I giggled but as I need looked at the dragon closely my eyes widen. I couldn't believe it.
"I knew it!" I exclaimed, "There where more!"
The dragon was startled my my sudden outburst and shot a small ball of fire burning a little of my ear and the patch of skin under it. I was surprised my hair wasn't burned. A cry escape my mouth. I hissed taking what was left of my water and dumping it over my head.
The water helped ease the pain but it still stung. The baby dragon growled at me and ran to the other side of the cell. I frowned great not even two minutes and I managed to make the dragon hate me.
I sighed taking a band and tying my hair up the dragon let out as small screeching noise as it burned a patch of wooden floor and layed over it. Grabbing my journal I went to the page of where I first drawed the egg, bye it I wrote White egg with gray and black spots classified as Night Fury egg.
I couldn't believe it I had actually found a Night Fury, "Night Fury," I repeated the words I looked over at it.
The Night Fury had dark blue scales the remind me of the night sky something I hadn't seen in awhile. The dragon looked at me I wondered if it was cold? I doubt it but I wasn't taking chance.Slowly I took the itchy wool blanket and walked over to the dragon. It didn't move but it watched me taking its tail and hiding its face.
Quietly I kneeled in front of it holding the blanket up to cover it.Just before I could its tail lifted up so I could see its face. It didn't move but it did growl quickly I threw the blanket over it. The dragons glare soften but didn't go away I made my way back to the other side.
The boat rocked alittle I could feel it turn a bit. I knew Drago would be here today. He came every Friday. And I was pretty sure today was Friday. I feared his reaction to the night fury. Would he take it? I hoped he wouldn't.
I wasn't very tired for I had just woke up not even 10 minutes ago. I leaned back resting my head my burn hurt but I ignored it. One of the worsed things about being locked up and trapped was the boredom.
I hummed quietly, "Let the wind carry us To the clouds, hurry up, alright We can travel so far, As our eyes can see," I sang the Night Fury watched me its ears perking up.
I wasn't a good singer Maria was better I still loved to do it even if I sound like a dying cow. Laughing slightly I continued, "We go where no one goes, We slow for no one, Get out of our way," The dragon was now up on its feet sitting like a dog almost its wings rapped around it.
