It was too much. You couldn't take it anymore. Being called ugly by the Aphrodite girls, weak by the Ares kids and the fact that you hadn't talked to your godly parent whilst most campers had really brought you down.
You finally got out of bed, having missed breakfast, and walked over to the armoury. You discreetly took the first thing you saw, which happened to be a celestial bronze dagger, and walked out, making sure nobody saw you. Running back to your cabin, you sat down on your bed and held the dagger by the hilt, the newly sharpened tip a few centimetres from your stomach. You gave yourself some time. People still have a chance to come and talk me out of it... you thought. Just then footsteps were heard on the porch, and in came your least favourite half sister, Kimberley. Well, Kimberley, you thought, I may not like you much, but you're my last chance... But she didn't even speak to you, she saw the dagger pointed to your stomach and the tears running down your cheeks, gasped and ran out. Thanks Kimberley, such a help, as always.
You shut your eyes, about to plunge the dagger into yourself, when somebody shouted "Don't do it! Please Y/N!" It wasn't just somebody, you knew that voice only too well. It was Leo, your boyfriend.
"Don't do it." He repeated, trying to be calm, but you could hear the slight tremble in his voice.
"Just leave. Everyone would be much better off if I just died.. " you croaked, tears still running rapidly.
"I wouldn't be. Y/N, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I really don't want to imagine life without you. Just," he sighed "can you put down the dagger so we can talk about this?" You reluctantly did as you were told and sat in silence for a few moments, trying to put your feelings into words. You finally said "I don't deserve to be a demigod"
"And who told you that?"
"Practically everyone here" You choked, the memories resurfacing.
"Are you talking about those dumb Aphrodite and Ares kids?" he asked, taking your hand in his. You faintly nodded in reply.
"Why do you listen to-"
"Because they're right!" This was the first time you had ever shouted at Leo, and that made you sob even more. He didn't mind though, he just pulled you in, and you sobbed against his chest.
"Now listen to me, you're beautiful, more beautiful than all the Aphrodite campers put together, okay? And you're stronger than all the Ares kids put together. They're the weak ones for picking on you. Don't listen to them. Listen to the people that care about you, like your brothers and sisters. Like me." and with that, he kissed you, a long passionate kiss, showing you just how much he needed you in his life. As he broke the kiss, he softly whispered "So can we delay this dying thing for a while?"
"A while as in how long?" you smirked.
"How's a hundred years?" You nodded before kissing him again.

The next day
"Leo, I've been meaning to ask you, how did you know that I was going to... you know..." you were on a picnic with him and were picking strawberries of a bush.
"Well, I was nearby and Kimberley ran up to me and told me what was going on"
"Oh" and you had thought that Kimberley had just run away, when she was actually part of the reason you were still alive...
