The name echoed in my mind for consecutive hours on end, chanting irritatingly as if there was something missing. I couldn't quite piece it together. It was like a jigsaw puzzle, except the only remaining piece was no where in sight. What did this mean?

Eryx. Eryx. Eryx.

What did he want? I shook my head rather vigorously as I caressed my temples with my finger tips, soothing my aching brain that throbbed drastically. As Elowen and Sybella appeared to be debating on something rather pathetic, I slumped my shoulders and dragged my lifeless body up the croaking steps to my room. As soon as I entered, I found myself surrendering to my bed, laying scattered out amongst the ragged material. My eyes gave in, failing as I fell into a deep slumber.

But wait. Piercing silver eyes tore into my own, draining the life from them effortlessly as they danced around to analyse my pupils in torment. His hand, Eryx's hand, extended to me and pried my delicate, scrawny fingers from the wooden edge of the bed which I clung to in great fear.

He gripped tightly on my wrists, his thumb applying pressure against my veins, his long, elegant fingers almost entwining with my own as a wicked yet divine smirk appeared on his face. Craning his neck, he moved his face closer to me. Inches away from my ghostly pale face, our breaths sharing the oxygen dividing us as he flicked his tongue over his tender bottom lip teasingly. His lips carefully parted and warming vibrations bounced from his lips to caress mine delicately.

"Emarie, you are the one. They want you."

His deep voice was not hoarse and raspy this time, but soothing and angelic. Somehow, my body had obeyed to relax as his voice comforted me. I noticed his skin glistening as the dawn light seeping in through the windows reflected against his almost iridescent skin, his eyes were not as sharp and tantalising, but rather of a soft, mesmerising grey. The long silver strands of his hair fell down his face as he peered down into my icy blue eyes, his aluminium eyes meeting my fear-filled ones.

What was this effect he had on me? I fought against his hold, a mental barrier barricading him from my emotions as my body tensed and propped up ever so slightly, causing him to withdraw his grip from my wrists and gaze down at me with an amusing smirk. He seemed satisfied with my disobeying behaviour. Hatred and anger flooded in my eyes and I raised my palms against his chest, preparing to push him away with great force. I could sense the caveat expression painted on his face, as if warning me. Warning me of what?

Until he vanished, and I awoke.

My body drenched in sweat, I was hyperventilating and my heartbeat rapidly battled against my chest. My palms were raw from the firm grip on the wood of the bed, blistered and bruised. Who are they? Why me?

But It was just a dream.
