Winston ran down the stairs, sprinting to the portal. He typed in the code, opening the door to a strange lab. He opened the door to see none other than Adolf Hitler.
"Miss me Winnie?" he said, shooting a bolt of blue energy at Winston. The brave Brit flew backwards, slamming into the wall. Adolf walked up the stairs, heading towards the medical office. He waltzed in, vaporizing the medics. Alex was barely conscience, but he still managed to let out a cry of alarm. (It was more of a murmur of alarm.)
"Oh poor little Alex. They were careful. But not careful enough." he said, pointing his hand at Alex.
"I guess I have you to thank. I would've never absorbed the portals power without you."
Alex's eyes shot open. "What are you talking about..." he spat.
"You didn't know? You see, it was always a theory. If a human being spends too much time in or around a portal, they absorb a fraction of it. I for one absorbed about one billionth. But you!" he jabbed his finger on Alex's wound, causing him to cry out. "Absorbed more than a fourth of the portal on first contact! When your precious Earth friend was killed, you absorbed his fraction! All that's left to do is suck the portal out of you, and nothing will be able to stop us!" shouted Hitler, maniacally laughing.
"Us?" asked Alex, generally confused by the whole situation.
Suddenly Adolf coiled back, blue energy pouring from his mouth and eyes. He spoke, but it was not his voice.
"I am your doom Alexander Roberts! I am the portal!" shouted Hitler.
Just then, a shot fired, striking Adolf in the back of the head. He let out a bloodcurdling scream and disappeared in a blue explosion. And there, in the doorway, was Winston, laser precision 9mm in hand.
