They soon discover that fear itself walks the shadowy halls. And as they tread lightly through the instillation looking for a way out. They must make unexpected alliances, sacrifices and risk survival for a way out of the worst place on earth.

Josephine Carter is a 12 year old girl living in Nazi Germany with her family, it would be fine if she didn't have to pretend she was German and have to deal with the rest of her extended family get taken away. What's more frustrating is that her best friend, Kai is that his dad is one of the Nazi. She should hate, never talk to him, but she can't help it, he's still her best friend. But that all changes when he finds out she's Jewish. He promises he won't tell anyone but the next day her and her family get taken to a concentration camp, where Josephine meets a mysterious boy across the gate and she talks to him everyday, she hopes that maybe she might be able to leave and be free without living in fear, but will it ever happen? Or will she die before she can see freedom?

This book is based on true events during World War 2 and the characters are made up. I choose to write about World War 2 because I think everybody should know the horrors of what happened in that's horrible War and to not to repeat history. The main characters are Achim, Yamamoto and Elizabeth.
