One More Day With You.

Chapter 1

Hadley was sitting on her front porch swing when her best friend Bucky pulled up it almost sunset on July night as they were about to start their senior year. "Hey darlin." Bucky said

"Hey." she said as she wiped tears

"What's wrong darlin?' he said as he lifted her feet and sat them on his lap as he sat beside her and started to swing them.

"Me and Elliot broke up today." She said 

"Oh sweetheart I'm sorry why didn't you tell me earlier." he said

"Because he didn't do it till 2 hours ago through a text message." she said as she handed her phone to him. 

He read the message and rolled his eyes. Bucky has had a crush on his best friend since the 7th grade but he's been to scared to tell her cause they have the best friendship it's fun and flirty and he doesn't want to screw that up. 

"He's an idiot babydoll." he said 

She laughed and said "Yeah you are right." 

"Let's go we are going to be late to the bonfire Ms Sad pants." he said 

They left in his truck to go to the last bonfire of the summer. 

*2 months later*

Hadley sat pool side at her dad's Labor day weekend BBQ and Bucky was sitting beside her and he said "So um the boys and I are getting ready to make an announcement sweetheart I really hope you don't get upset with me ok." 

"Sweetheart I always have your back you know that." she said

He got up and went over to where the boys were and Steve said "We wanted to let you all know that we have turned down any scholarships for football as we signed up for the military earlier this week. They informed that boot camp will be next summer."

Hadley sat there for a second and as she tried her best to digest what Steve just said and a tear drop fell down her cheek. She got up and said "I have to go." 

Bucky stopped her and said "Look at me darlin.."

"Bucky.. you are talking about going away. Leaving me here all by myself." she whispered 

"It's just for a little awhile darlin it's not forever." he whispered 

"What am I suppose to do with out you here." she whispered as she looked down.

He lifted her chin and saw tears that he caused for the first time. He wiped her tears and felt his welling up and he whispered "Please don't do that to me."

He hugged her and said "Baby please don't cry I'll be back."

They started to spend more and more time together and with their friends as well. They finished out football season by making it all the way to State and winning to be state champs for their senior year. After football season was over they played basketball while the girls cheered and they all got offered cheer scholarships to University of GA.
