One More Day With You.

Chapter 4

It was the morning of Mother's day Hadley was on her way home to go see her mom and Winnie but she was taking longer then she would normally cause she kept having to pull over to puke. By the time she got Winnie's house for lunch with both her parents and Bucky's parents she was pale. She pulled into the driveway and walked in and Winnie said "Honey are you alright?"

"No..I'm sorry I took so long I kept having to stop to throw up and my boobs hurt sorry dad and James and um I um I think I'm late." she said 

"Sweetie are you sure?" her mom said

"I think so the last time I remember having a period was in March." she said 

Winnie left the room and went upstairs to her bathroom ever since she knew that Bucky was having sex she kept pregnancy tests on hand just to be safe. She came back down and gave her one and she went into the bathroom to take a test. She peed on the stick and sat on the side of a tub. Her mom came in and sat beside her and held her hand. 

"What happened baby?" her mom said

"I um I went to see Bucky before he left for his deployment which was well within in my grace period of my shot. I just we were so wrapped up in the fact that we finally told each other how we felt that I forgot about it and we didn't use a condom. I didn't mean to mom I swear." she said 

"I know baby it will be ok. But here's the thing baby me and your daddy just bought a two bedroom house in S.C. So we think if you want you can stay here with Winnie and James and go to the community college here in town." her mom said 

"Ok mama that's fine. I might feel better sleeping in Bucky's bed anyways." she said 

Her mom looked at the test and said "Well that's our plan then cause baby you are pregnant." 

"Well this is great cause I can't even tell Bucky right now..I can't even talk to him right now he's on that top secret mission and away from base camp." she said as she started to cry and ran out of the bathroom. 

She ran through Winnie's living room and down to Bucky's room in the basement and bawled into his pillow. Lisa Hadley's mom walked in and said "She's pregnant." to them in the kitchen. 

Winnie fought tears and said "My sweet Hadley.." 

"James is there any way we can get the message to Bucky." Lisa said 

"No..there is no strings to pull on this. His whole unit when on this mission." James said 

Bucky was laying on the cold ground as it was night time where he was they were laying low. He closed his eyes and just keeping "One More Day" by Diamond Rio in his head as he thought about Hadley. She made him feel less scared and right now he was scared shitless. The next morning they had to move and Bucky used everything is dad taught him to keep himself safe. 

A few days after she got the news she was sitting in a doctor's office with his mom Winnie and her mom Lisa as the doctor came in and started to do all the usual things of a check up and then did an ultrasound and she heard the heartbeat and started to cry and Lisa said "Baby it's going to be ok." 

Then the doctor said "There's two..you are having twins. Due on Christmas day. You are 9 weeks pregnant." 

"DId you just say twins?' Hadley said 

"Yes I did." the doctor said 

She closed her eyes and said "Bucky where are you?'

Winnie grabbed her hand and said "We will get the message to him somehow baby." 

"Ms Dallas you also need to get your blood pressure down." the doctor said

"You just tell me that I'm having twins and my boyfriend is fucking overseas on some mission where he can't even talk to me and you are asking me to calm down." she said as she wiped her stomach off and walked out the door and made her next appointment. A few days later she packed up her dorm room and moved into Bucky's old room at Winnie's.
