One More Day With You.

Chapter 3

*6 months later*

It was Bucky's birthday they had a meeting with their superior officer and found out that they were being deployed. Bucky swallowed hard as he heard the words come out of the officer's mouth. When they got back to their house they all agreed that it would be best if they didn't tell the girls till a week before they were to be deployed cause they didn't want them to freak out. When Bucky went into his room he started to get scared and he looked at a picture of him and Hadley that sat by his bed. He packed a duffel bag and grabbed his keys and left in his truck. 

He drove from Fort Benning to Athens. Hadley was alone in her dorm as the girls were at a night class that she didn't have she was watching tv when she heard a knock on the door. She opened and said "Bucky." 

"I um I had to see you it's my birthday and yours is in two days I miss you." he said 

"I miss you too." she said 

He came in and sat his bag on the couch and said "What were you doing." 

"I um I was watching tv." She said 

He kicked off his shoes and laid down and motioned for her to come lay down beside him. She bit her lip and said "Buck..I don't have on any pant's all I have is this big sweater and knee high socks." 

"So I don't mind." he said 

She laid down beside him and he hugged her so tight. Then they laid there nose to nose and he couldn't get the words to reach his mouth. So he did the next best thing and he leaned in and kissed her. He placed his hand on her cheek and she started to kiss back cause he was not the only one in their friendship that felt that way she did too. Then his hand rested on her thigh as they continued to kiss and his hand traveled up to her ass and he moaned and started to squeeze. 

"Bedroom' he whispered 

They both got up without breaking the kiss and started to strip down as they walked to her room. They got into her room and he started to make love to her and left bite marks in his path. The next morning she woke up to see Nat in her room and her mouth "What the hell happened." 

She mouthed back as Bucky was still asleep "I don't know he showed up here last night and started kissing me out of the blue." 

Nat left the room and went to tell Wanda. Bucky rolled over and she said "Morning." 

"Morning beautiful." he said as he kissed her. 

Then they started to have another round of sex that everyone could hear since the boys came up that morning to see the girls. 

*2 weeks later* 

They called their girls and told them about their deployment that they were going to be leaving the following Friday and that they were allowed to come see them the night before to spend one night with them before they leave. Bucky knew that he had to get the courage to tell Hadley why he did what he did on his birthday. He was scared that he might not get another chance to tell her how he's felt about her. 

Hadley just sat there quietly as tears fell down her cheeks and she finally got up and slammed the door to her bedroom. Bucky looked down and whispered "I'm sorry." 

*The Following THursday.*

It was Thursday night they had gone out to eat with the boys and then they came back to their military base home. Bucky dragged Hadley into his room and shut the door and locked it. He kissed her and he whispered "I have to tell you something and I really hope that you don't get mad at me." 

"Ok." she said

"Hadley Brooke Dallas I'm in love with you and I have been since the 7th grade that's why I came to see on my birthday I wanted to tell you but I couldn't get the words." she cut him off with a kiss and whispered "I love you too." 

They started to strip down and he laid her on the bed and made love to her like it was his last night on earth and he filled her all night long. The next morning he got in one more round and then they went to the airport. He kissed her a bunch of times and said "Baby I love you and I'll do my best to get home to you." 

"You better.." she said 

"I'm sorry I waited so long to tell you." he said 

"It's ok atleast you finally told me so I could tell you." she said 

He smiled and said "That is true gorgeous." 

She kissed him one last time and said "I love you James Buchanan Barnes and you come home to me." 

"I will baby." he said as he kissed her. 

Then he left and got on the plane and took a deep breathe. Steve said "You finally told her didn't you." 

"I did and now I'm scared to death Steve." he said 

"It's going to be fine we can do this." Sam said 

The girls cried all the way back to Athens especially Hadley whose heart was breaking cause she was finally able to tell Bucky how she felt and now he had to go.
