One More Day With You.

Chapter 2

After the holidays were over the boys got sworn in and that's when everything started to feel more real for Hadley watching Bucky get sworn into the military. She would have nightmares of Bucky getting hurt if he got deployed that she would wake her dad up screaming in her sleep. Some nights that Bucky stayed with her she would wake him up screaming in her sleep. He started to worry about her this wasn't Hadley at all. Hadley was a fun loving carefree blonde hair blue eyed girl. 

They did their birthday tradition and ate at Buffalo Wild Wings and then went to eat birthday cake with their friends at his house. They all had blast playing video games in his basement eating cake and ice cream for their birthdays since their birthdays were two days apart. Then after they celebrated their birthdays they went to Disneyland for their spring break. 

They went to prom as a group one last time. Then graduation day happened as they showed pictures of the senior class over their 4 years of high school. They recognized all the students that were joining the service and everyone clapped for them. 

They spent what little of the summer they had left with the boys out on the lake. Drinking beer and having fun. Nat saw Bucky and Hadley dancing on the docks and said "Steve do you think he's ever going to tell her." 

"I don't know Nat I think he should." Steve said 

The night before they left they threw them a going away party and she gave Bucky a photo album and he said "Baby what's this?"

"It's for you to take with you." she said 

He opened it up and started to go through it and started to cry as he looked back over their memories since preschool. "I love it Hadley thank you." he said as he wiped tears.

"I figured I would give you something to remember me by." she said

"OH baby I could never forget you. You are my best friend and I love you." he said as he kissed her forehead. 

The next morning the girls went with them to see them off to boot camp. She started to cry and he said "No don't do this to me baby. I"m right here always." as he pointed to her heart.

"Buck I have never started school without you..I have never cheered a football game when you weren't on the field." Hadley said 

"I know baby doll but it will be ok I promise." he said 

"Just tell me when your graduation is and let me write you every day." she said 

"I will baby." he said 

He kissed her forehead and joined the boys on the plane. The girls cried all the way back home from the airport.

A month later the girls were loading up their cars and headed to college. They were sharing a dorm together so they got all their letters at the same time. When classes started Hadley couldn't keep herself from falling apart after each class she had for the first few weeks. till after they went to the boys graduation and they found out they were going to be stationed at Fort Benning in GA. 

At the graduation they took the boys out to dinner and then spent time with them in their hotel pool and then took them back to base. After they got to where they were going to be stationed and sat up in their home they were able to skype the girls from one of their laptops and since the girls shared a dorm it made it easier for them to skype them all at once. 

They let them know all about what they had to do for military training and PT and classes The girls talked about practice and classes and college life. But the boys could tell this was hard on them they made the decision without really talking to them about it.
