Lai Kuanlin 🙈A surprise🙈

(A/N: This has nothing to do with the previous chapters so I hope you understand. Especially in ChamWink's story, Kuanlin was only used as a side character but here, he's the main one alongside you.)

"(Y/n) yah, ppali ireona. Yah! Ppaliwah!"

"What's the fuss, eomma? It's still early."

"Andwae yah. I was just informing you that we would be leaving for a few weeks. Take care, okay?"Without giving time for you to question her, she left the house in a hurry with your appa.

You realised that this was your second time being alone in an apartment of yours. You remembered that it was your birthday but nobody was there to wish you happy birthday. Not even your friends. You flinched when you heard your phone ringing.

"Yeoboseoyeo?"

"Nae, (Y/n) ssi,"A hoarse voice could be heard.

"Who is this?"

"Ah mianhae. My throat hurts. I just want to wish you happy birthday. I'm sorry if appa and eomma couldn't be there for you because your grandmother fell sick. We didnt want to bring you along because we knew your exams are coming. Study well okay, my princess? Anyways, if you want to get your birthday present, go to --------------"

"Okay.....take care too. Bye."You were disgusted by the fact that your father still calls you his princess. You looked at yourself in the mirror, you're already sixteen today! You wondered why your birthday present was at ------ but okay. Could it be something really special?

You then took a bath and got ready to go out. You took a bus, overwhlemed with excitement. You were like the only crazy passenger bouncing on your chair. You hummed to songs loudly and people were staring at you. You only gave a weak smile and tried to control your excitement. When you arrived at your stop, you gushed out of the bus and ran up the stairs of the building to the rooftop. You saw balloons of your favourite colour, periwinkle and some confetti, decorating the poles at the sides. There was a card on the table placed nicely stating 'Happy Birthday' on it but no one seemed to be there. There were two seats and one with your name printed (maybe?) on it. You beamed as you saw the nice decorations and sat down comfortably. You waited for another person to come and sit with you. You just needed a companion, you know? Besides, why are there two seats when your appa only asked you to go there. There must be an intention behind it, right?

As you continued to admire the things around you, a guy came approaching you. He looked rather young to be a man. His eyes are as brown as hazel. His physical appearance seemed like a prince approaching you (hehe). He tapped your shoulder with one hand while the other holding on to the box of cake. You flinched when you saw his silhouette. You forgot to wear your spectacles.

"Who are you?"

"Mianhae. Your appa asked me to come here to accompany you. He said you didn't like loneliness. Anyways, what's your name?"

"Should I trust you? Hold up. How can I trust you when I can't see your face?"

"Silly you. Here, let me take it for you."He helped you out on your glasses which was on the table, suntanning (lol). You smiled when he smiled. His smile could explain a thousand reasons why you found him charming.

"Ah-kamsahammida. I'm (Y/n). And you?"

"My name is Kai Kuanlin. I came from Taiwan. I live here with my friends. I came here to study further (maybe....?). How about you? What's your life?"You hesitated. Lai Kuanlin? You recognized him.....You decided to keep quiet and only be a burden.

"I study in SOPA here. I live with my mom and dad and I have who gave me support very much ever since-"

"Ever since?"Kuanlin gestured you to continue. You just shook your head and started dining in. He kept staring at you the whole time. You took glances at him but blushed. You couldn't forget this guy. He's too nice for you to forget him despite what he did to you.
