The prince of the stars

Chapter 1: the meeting

Cassie was just a teenager. Even though she was a princess she liked looking at the stars through the telescope she got for her birthday. She had just finished setting up and had only looked through it once when she saw it, a beautiful looking comet. It had golden sparks coming off it, the rock looked to be some kind of metal. She quickly sketched it in her notebook. She looked back at it and realised that it was coming down to earth as it just burst into flames and was rapidly becoming larger in the telescope. Cassie realised that it was coming her way and ran back to a safe point being sure to take her telescope and notebook with her. It crashed down exactly where she had been. Sighing in relief that her work was ok she thought about going to get help and turned away, but in the end curiosity got the better of her and she slowly walked up to it. The rock was definitely some kind of metal. 'A strong type of metal too' she thought. Yet as strong as it looked it was split, perfectly, in two and in the middle of the two halves she saw a boy. He was the most handsome boy she'd ever seen. He had short black hair, flawlessly tanned skin, he looked to be strong too as his arms were muscular, his shirt looked like it was about to rip as he breathed and his face, his beautiful face, he had a chiselled jaw, perfect lashes. Everything about him was perfect, she realised she was staring at him. She went to back away but as she went to stand up a strong hand gripped her small arm. She looked back and realised it was a mistake as she was immediately captivated by his eyes, those big round eyes, as clear as a sparkling lake, a blue  as deep as the ocean.  She realised that she was staring at him again and tried to look away but couldn't. She felt the blood rush to her cheeks. 'I must look like an idiot' she thought annoyed at herself. To her surprise he smiled a smile that made her heart thud faster and harder in her chest and in her ears. She realised that he was talking and listened. "...ince jack"
"Ahh p-princess c-cassie" she stammered. He realised that he was still holding her arm and let go hurriedly. She fell backwards surprised by his reaction, he was blushing? "I-i'm sorry I..." Cassie looked at him in surprise. Suddenly she felt that she had to break the tension. " its okay" she covers her arm to hide the bruise that had appeared on her arm where he gripped it. 'I know that I'm lying but I need to break,the tension'
" um so you want to come out of that hole?"
"Huh? O-oh uh yeah" he stood up and that did it for Cassie. The last thing Cassie saw was his worried face as she fell to the ground, blackness surrounding her as she fell. She woke up in the castle staring into the blue eyes of jack. She felt the blood rush to her cheeks again as she realised what was happening, she quickly sat up hiding her face from those captivating eyes of jack. "I'm glad your awake" she looked at him fondly. then realisation hit her as she looked around to find her notebook and telescope were in perfect condition. "I took the liberty to clean it I hope that was ok." She looked at the sparkling telescope and muttered, a little distractedly, "yeah that was fine." She wasn't looking at the smooth golden surface of the telescope. She was looking at the marking on it. She got up to inspect them "what are these?" She asked jack moved next to her. "they look like enchancian."
"I'm sorry enchanci-what?"
"Enchancian. Its the language I speak back home"
"Where exactly do you live again?"
"Enchancia, why?" Cassie shook her head. "No reason, what do they mean?" His face fell as he read and translated the markings. "They say... Hold on..." His voice trailed off as he made sure the markings were correct. "They're a prophecy, the world will end unless a prince who is as strong as an ox, and a princess who loves the stars of all worlds, takes this stargazer to the top of the tallest mountain in Enchancia at midnight and points it at the northstar and become something more than human. The power they receive will be more than enough to destroy the evil that threatens both worlds and unite them once and for all...
