I watched my new family as they cried. I wanted to go with my mom really bad. This is a huge opportunity and I feel like I should take it. But I don't want to leave Kian or Emma or Alissa. I remember back in the orphanage we all promised we would never let anybody adopt us unless we could stay together. I'm breaking that promise. My mom pulled me into a hug. "Why don't we all go back to your house and you can get your stuff together. Then we can start on all the paperwork." She said. I nodded. "You can ride in my car with me." Kian said. I nodded again. I followed everybody outside. My mom got into her car and the rest of us got into Kian's. She followed us back to the house. The whole ride was silent except for Emma's sobs and Jc trying to calm her down. Emma and I had been friends from the beginning and now I was leaving her. I know how hard this is. Once we reached the house I got out of the car and ran upstairs to my bedroom. I looked around the room. At the place I was leaving. I started packing up my stuff. Finally everything was all in some bags and two suitcases. I was leaving. I walked downstairs. My mom was sitting on the couch with the rest of the guys and everybody was silent. "I'm ready." I whispered. My mom smiled and stood up. She walked over to me and grabbed my hand. We started to walk towards the door but I stopped in my tracks. I turned around and ran to Kian. I hugged him as tight as I could. Then I looked back at my mom. "Mom. This is my family now. And I can't leave them." I said. "No Zoie you don't have to." Kian said. I stopped him. "I want to." I said. My mom had tears running down her face but she didn't try and stop me. "I understand. I love you sweetheart." She said. I smiled with tears stinging my eyes. "I love you too mom." I said. I ran up and hugged her. Then I let go. "Take good care of her Mr. Lawley." She said. Kian smiled and nodded his head.
