Warped Minds

Chapter 2

I open my eyes to the small hotel room with the sound of water running. I look onto Aria's bed to confirm that she's in the shower. I get up and go over to the dresser, I open the drawer and grab a hoodie. I grab the card and head downstairs. It was almost 5:30 AM, we had to be up early to get a good parking spot at Warped Tour.

I head over to the table that held some of the hotels crappy coffee and gets a cup, I add the dark caffeine into the cup along with some creamer and most of the sugar container. I stir the cup of joe with a red straw and head back up to the room. As I step onto the elevator there is already a guy sitting there with his phone in his hands. He glances up and gives me a small smile as he steps to the other side of the elevator.

"I like your sweatshirt, are you going to Warped Tour?" He questioned me putting his phone in his back pocket. I think for a moment before I decide to tell him I was.

"Yeah, this is my second year. I got lost my first time but I think I can find my way." I say smiling and taking in some of his features. His skin was a light olive color and he his black curly hair cupped his face just right.

"Well, my buddy I are going. Maybe we can hang out there together?" He said looking at the ground rubbing the back of his neck.

I give him a slight nod, "Yeah that would be great. We can drive you guys there." The elevator dings and the doors open. I step out "We're room 128. We'll be ready in ten." I said as the doors shut. I smiled to myself and walk down the hallway. He seemed nice, but I think he just wants some tail.

I wave the card in front of the lock and walk into our room. The water was no longer running and there was music that was heard throughout the room. It was Better off Dead by Sleeping With Sirens. I peek into the bathroom and Aria was jamming out to the song while doing her makeup.

"Hey, are you almost ready?" I asked getting a long sleeve and some jeans from the dresser. "I met this guy in the lobby and he totally just asked to with us," I yell over the music.

"Really? Are you meeting him here?" She questioned. I heard the music stop for a moment and she steps out in her bra and some high-waisted pants.

"Yeah, I said we would be happy to accompany them. Not like we can stay alone through this whole thing without meeting anyone. I point out. "They will be up here in about ten minutes, so I would hurry up and put a shirt on," I said as I pointed at her torso.

She hurries to the closest to pick out a Pierce the Veil long sleeve and a jacket over that. She pares it with some combat boots and calls herself good.

I get into the bathroom and quickly do some eyeliner and mascara, I don't bother with foundation and powder because I have a feeling it's just gonna sweat off anyway. I let my long red hair down and brush through it. I get dressed and pair some black timberlands with it along with a hoodie.

As I zip up my hoodie I hear a knock at the door. I smile and go over to the door opening it to see a familiar curly head guy and some other guy with green eyes and swooped hair.

"Hey, come on in. We're just getting ready leave." I said as I stepped aside for them. They both pile into our room. "I don't think I caught your name before," I said giving a small smile.

"Oh yeah, Sorry about that. I'm Dominic and that's Zack." He said nodding to the guy behind him I give him a little wave.

I gesture to Aria "This is my best friends Aria, and I'm Charlotte." Aria said hello and we stood in an awkward silence for a minute before Aria chimed in.

"I'm ready when you guys are." Everyone agreed and we left the hotel room.

We all piled into the car with Dominic beside me in the backseat and Zack in the front with Aria. Aria decided that giving the quest the Aux cord was fair game and a familiar song came on. I've heard it before but I can't quite put my finger on it.
