Warped Minds

Chapter 3

As time grows near five we have bought our merch and we have moved our way to the front of the stage. I look over at Dominic and he's got a huge smile on his face. I could tell he was excited, the way his eyes lit up when he looked up at the stage curtain.

"I'm really excited." He said hugging me with an antsy posture. I giggled and hugged him back.

"I can tell. I'm happy that I can see a smile on your face." I replied giving him a small kiss on the cheek. "After this, we should go do something." I said looking down.

He gave me a surprised look and nodded quickly. "Absolutely, whatever you want."

I smiled and looked over at the stage as the curtains opened. Everyone was cheering loudly with screams that could burst your eardrums. I turned my full attention to the stage and there were drum sets and three tall people holding guitars. One person had a microphone and a guitar, I'm guessing backup music, the third held just a microphone.

I looked back at Dominic and he was frantic cheering with the loud people in the crowd. I nudged him and he stopped cheering and looked at me.

"So which one is which?" I asked pointing at the people up there.

"Well," He said turning his attention back to the stage with love filled eyes. "The one on the drums, his name is Valentino but everyone calls him Tino. The lead guitarist is Phil." He pointed to the one on the left to a boy with long hair and a cut off t-shirt. "They bassist and backup vocals is Aaron." He pointed to the boy holding a guitar and adjusting the mic. "And the one with the mic is Austin. He's literally the best person ever." He turned his attention back to the stage and it grows quiet for a moment.

I hear the first note of the song it sounds awesome. The guy that Dominic said was Aaron starts singing in higher pitched voice. It was starting off pretty slow, as he sang everyone held something bright up whether it be a phone or a lighter. Everyone swayed back and forth. It picked up really fast after a few moments of the Aaron guy singing and then the band got heavier

Everyone had sung along and I felt so out of place. I looked onto the stage and everyone was bouncing around and playing their instruments as the song went on. I looked at the guy the guy that Dominic said was Austin and he was on one of the speakers shaking his head back and forth to the beat.

When he stopped he looked around the crowd smiling. He stopped looking when he had his turn in my direction. HIs smile dropped for a moment before it reappeared moments later as his part came back on.

As Dominic was jamming out I looked around for the bathrooms. I'm sure once I got out of this crowd I could find them a whole lot easier. I bumped and pushed my way through as the crowd got thicker. With one final push through the crowd, I was finally at the back. I could finally breathe. Nobody was crowding you and could see around the whole Venue. I brushed myself off and made my way to find the bathroom. Within a short period, I found the porta-potties and made my way to it.

Once I had myself locked into it pulled my pants down and started doing my business. I remember Austin looking through the crowd, I don't remember if he was staring at me or some other person nearby. But I do know that he gave me shivers and not the bad kind. He wasn't bad looking he was actually pretty cute, but then again, all band members have to have a cute one.

I finished what I was doing and got out of the porta-potty. I can see that the music had stopped and the crowd was leaving. I looked around for Dominic, Aria and Zack but I couldn't find them anywhere. My inner self started to panic. 'Maybe they just haven't passed me yet.' I said to calm myself down.

I sat down by the fence post and watched as hundreds of people passed the gate.I did my best to search the crowd but I couldn't see them. Well, I'm sure if they don't find me at the hotel they will come and look for me, that or called the cops.

About twenty minutes had passed and everyone had cleared out. I got up from the ground and looked around. I need to go find the concession stand and see if they have seen them. I gather all my courage and go ask for help and walk my way to a food booth.

"Hi, how can I help you?" A blonde woman asked.

"Well, I just wanted to know if you've seen my friends." I asked holding out my phone and showing her a picture of Aria. "She was with two other guys." I said looking at her quizzically. She squinted at the screen before shaking her head.

"Sorry I haven't seen them but I can accompany you out to the parking lot to look for them." She suggested.

"That would be amazing. Thank you so much." I said putting my phone back in my pocket. I turned and looked around one last time before turning my attention back to the lady behind the counter. She grabbed her jacket and walked out behind the booth.

"Shall we?" She asked gesturing for me to walk forward. I did just that. "So how did you enjoy Warped Tour today?" She asked after a minute of silence.

"Well, it was amazing, besides losing my friends. I came originally to Sleeping with Sirens but one of my friends persuaded me to go and see Of Mice and Men. It was really good." I replied.

"I'm glad you had a good time." She said with a big smile on her face. Once we got passed the gate she stopped. "I'll wait here for you, go ahead and check the parking lot." She said pulling out her phone.

I headed off into the dimly lit parking lot and headed over to where we parked. The car was no longer where we parked. I sighed in frustration that Aria would dare leave me. I know that she met someone she likes but to leave her best friend behind is cruel.

I walked back silently to the gates where the girl promised she would be, and that promise was kept. I looked back up at her with a frown and she smiled sympathetically. "I'm sorry you didn't find your friends." She said.

I shrugged. "Well, thank you for your help." I'm gonna go see if they are still here." I said walking away. The blonde women walked her way back to the stands.

I can't believe she left me here, that is so uncool. Should I walk back to the hotel? That probably wouldn't be a good idea, you never know who can just follow you home. I sat down on the ground and tried thinking of ideas. This was both the best and worst day of my life.
