Listen to Aimless by Johnny Goth. It makes you imagine this short story like it's a scene from a cliché romance movie. Trust me on this. 😂

You don't have any social media, you pushed yourself away from the internet, BESIDES Netfilx. (Because who the hell can survive with out it? Lots of people but the that's besides the point.)
You work at a pastry shop down the road from your apartment. You get a decent amount of costumers daily but not too many where it makes it overwhelming.
Today you're working a longer shift because it's a Friday and Fridays tend to be more busy. The sky grows darker throughout the day and voices become quieter. You're starting to clean up as it begins to be the last hour until closing time, so you wipe down the tables and say goodbye to people who make their way out the door. The two last people are an elderly couple sitting at a corner table laughing about some sort of old memory. You can't help but smile at how cute they look, being older and still looking at each other with the love you have as young, naïve, lovesick teenagers. The door bell pulled you out of your thoughts and your attention stops upon a young man with adorable brown curls, eyes that sparkle with the joy of being young, and the kindness that barely touches the line of being over the top to even believe it for one second. He walks up to the counter and smiles.

"Hi, what can I get for you?" you ask him with a returned smile.

"What ever has been today's favorite, I've been wanting to check this place out for a week now but haven't found the time due to work." he responded with a chuckle.

"haha! I'll make sure to give you extra then for your long wait through out the week."

"There's no need, it's fine." he gave a hesitating look that said he'd love to but still looked guilty.

"Honestly, it's okay. You're the last person to come in anyways, so I insist."

"Oh, alright then...thank you." he scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment.

"No problem! What name do you want me to put you under?"

"..." he stood there shocked for a little bit but shook it off a moment later.

"Tom."

"Well Tom, I shall have your order ready in a few minutes."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Tom. I have everything in a to go bag for you. Is that okay?"
"That's perfectly fine, quick question before I leave though."
You nodded your head for him to continue.
"Do you like Marvel?"
"Yes, I love Marvel! I just haven't had the time to see anything recently. Plus, they took everything besides Black Panther off of Netflix before I could even watch any of them. The last movie I've seen besides Black Panther was...Doctor Strange, I'm pretty sure."
"Maybe we could hangout some time and watch them together?" he asked with hope in his eyes.
"I'd be more then happy to! Here give me a second." You said before pulling out a piece of paper to write your number on.
"Here you go." he took the paper from you with a smile on his face. His smile tugged at your heart this time, for it was his dimples that caved in and his jawline made it's way to your sight. Your thoughts got filled comments on you drowning in his attractiveness and it was his voice that snapped you out of it.
"I'll text you to see when your next day off is so we can have a Marvel movie marathon."
You laughed and nodded your head.
"Bye Tom, I hope you enjoy your pastries!" you waved at him.
He returned the wave and walked out the door with the sound of his joyful laughter staying in your head for the rest of the night.
Hey guys!!!! I apologize, this year so far has been killing me! The final year for high school  is crazy, so I've been working non-stop on my school work and early college classes. I know this chapter is extremely short but please let me know your thought's on a second part for this short story! Have a lovely day, I love you all!
