Born of Fire...

The sun is one of life's greatest gifts. Taking its rightful place in the sky's throne, it watches all life and all death. It knows all the good that spreads across the lands, as well as the evil, and it watches us choose our actions, and make our decisions. It never interferes with war, however. War is a desperate solution to problems of greed. Teiren knew this, as did his father and the rest of his ancestors. Teiren also knew that there cannot be true joy, without true sorrow, as there cannot be true courage without fear. One cannot exist without the other. Unfortunately, neither can good or evil. In the end of this war, Teiren hoped that neither evil nor even good will prevail. He only hoped that evil shall never overcome the good, because it was always so easy to maintain. To be honest, he tired of the relentless battles. He tired of the everlasting struggle to maintain balance. However, no matter how much he cursed the selfish greed and powerful grudges, Teiren knew that there will never be an end to them. Where there is a soul, there is love, and there is also hate. One can not exist without the other.

Teiren would forever seek refuge in the sun, though. He found himself fascinated by its tireless care for life. Even with all this conflict, all of this terror and strife, and the struggle to revive order and harmony, the sun will never stop. Every morning, it blesses them with its warmth and light, spreading new life all over the world. An amazing thing, the sun. Teiren has begun to find himself almost envious of its passionate care.

The sudden crash of steel and clay has made him jump. Even though it was he, who wielded this blade, and it was the clay that was recently attempting to take his life, Teiren still felt an overwhelming sense of shock as his blade sliced through the clay.

"I'd say you were lost in your head again, were you, brother?" Rivon asked him as he stepped into aid with his brother.

"I would say so. If I begin to daydream while I battle for my life, I say this must be getting old." Teiren laughed. A harsh tug at the base of his skull warned him of the oncoming attack. With all living things, Teiren and his brothers have been blessed with detecting the presence of the wisps. Historically, the world was nothing more than the lands of fire. There was no meaning within these lands, and there was also no sense of purpose. The world was a generally ugly and unimpressive place to be. However, even then, the sun cared for it. The sun had pleaded to the heavens to grant the world a chance, but the heavens wouldn't hear of it. In their eyes, the world was nothing more than a chaotic waste of space, and they were considering letting the everlasting skies swallow it whole. However, the moon graced us by giving the heavens doubt. The moon is not as loving and forgiving as the sun, but it wasn't as cold or impulsive as the heavens either. The moon is the ultimate scholar of the skies. It can form ideas that have led much success to the heavens, and this time, it was working with the sun's favor. With its almighty wisdom, the moon suggested 'how would it turn out if it was given a chance?' And the heavens have been haunted with this question in their every waking moment. Finally, the heavens agreed to give the world a chance. They sent a star to collect a secret life that existed far away, even further than the heavens' domain. Being mighty and young, the star took this quest, and traveled great distances to retrieve this secret ingredient. For many eons, the star traveled, and just when the heavens believed the star has been lost on its way, the star arrived, carrying with it the wisps. The wisps were something the heavens have never seen before. Being nothing more than just shimmering sphere's of faint light, they appeared unimpressive to the heavens. But the star had not collected these wisps for no reason. He showed the heavens that they were not very genuine, because they have not grown. The wisps were not only capable of change, but they could also feel love as mighty as the sun's, and have wisdom as extraordinary as the moon's. They could hold several emotions, and the beauty of them was that they were all different and special in their own way. Curious, the heavens decided to set the wisps onto the world; however, they had no idea how. The eons during the star's travels, the world has grown much more dangerous, to the point that nothing could approach it without return. The star surprised all of the heavenly forces by stating that it will carry the wisps to the world. The heavens argued, and even the sun couldn't let this star make this kind of sacrifice. But the star told them "I am in need of rest. I have seen many things in my travels, things that my mind still cannot fathom. I would have been lost every sense without the hope that these wisps carry. Though I can never return to the heavens after entering the world of fire, I will be content to live and grow with these wisps, for they are worth this sacrifice". With these words, the star let itself fall from the skies and plummet to the lands of fire. And, very slowly, the wisps began to not only adjust themselves to the world, but they began to adjust the world to themselves. They entered some meaningless caves of the world, and there, they formed and hosted a life. A life was a physical root to the world, which could grow and feed and change. The life was simple at first, having only the purpose to remain alive. But, with the wisps, they started to change. Carrying the curious nature they've learned from the heavens, they made this life move, by giving them legs. And they decided to let this life survive off of air, so their breath would dim the fires. Changes became much more frequent within the wisps, but their hosts could not live forever, and the wisps learned that neither could they. However, they've learned to create new life, and with this life, a new soul. This way, there would be a never-ending cycle of life.
