McKenna was at home when she went labor. She let out a breathe she tried called her husband of six months Lucas but he was no where to be found. She finally gave up and called the on person she could always count on.
Her best friend since kindergarten Bucky Barnes. "Mckenna?" He said
"Bucky...help..I need to get to the hospital." Mckenna said through tears and pain.
"Baby hold on..Ill be there as soon as I can." He said
"Sorry Dot I gotta go Mckenna needs me." He said.
Bucky rushed across town to Mckenna's apartment. He carried her out bridal style put her in his truck. She squeezed his hand and yelled all the way there.
She still couldn't get ahold of Lucas. Bucky let her know that he wasn't leaving her to do this alone. And six hours later Mckenna gave birth to a tiny red head baby girl.
She named her daughter Sawyer James Carter. "Darlin.." Bucky said as he got her hold her.
"Hey little doll face..shh Uncle Bucky is here lets let mama rest.." he whispered.
He fed her a bottle burped changed her. And for the first year of her life Bucky was the only person to get her to sleep. She would climb up in his lap with her blankie and paci and fall asleep.
He never minded he adored Sawyer. When Sawyer was 14 months old Mckenna's husband filed for divorce. That very same year Bucky and Dot filed for divorce as well.
