Her eyes traveled up and down the girl's sleeping form. She saw the girl's baggy grey Celtics hoodie, black shorts and messy bun tied hair. She was an image of utter perfection, a dream. Rosalie wasnt sure she'd be able to restrain herself like what would be best.
She'd always thought that her mate would never come, so it was easy for her to expect some restraint from herself if they ever did. But now? It seemed hopeless. Esme always had good advice, so she took it upon herself to ask Esme what to do. Esme told her to become friends with the girl if she could. Protect her like fate told her to do.
And if the sense of love and thirst to protect became too strong, then Rosalie should give in and give her protection, infatuation and love to the girl.
Esme was right. That was the smartest option. But what if Rosalie just gave in right away, and swept the girl off her feet? It could not happen. Rosalie needed to give the girl a choice. An extremely protective friend, or an ultra possessive lover.
Rose watched Cecily stir in her slumber, taking small breaths of air and shaking. She was having a nightmare. Twisting in her comforter, Cecily made fearful facial expressions, whimpering quietly. Rosalie didnt hesitate for a minute before walking silently over to Cecily's bed and leaning over it. She pressed her hand to the side of Cecily's face and stroked her cheek, calming her down.
"I'm gonna protect you. Through everything. Even if the damned Devil himself crawls up from hell and targets you personally, he wont harm a hair on your head, Cecily Swan. I promise." She whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead. She smiled thoughtfully as Cecily went back to sleeping peacefully, her breathing returning to normal.
Then, she disappeared from the room.
This was going to be a bit harder than originally planned.
-- THE NEXT MORNING, 7:30 AM --
Cecily rifled through the clothes in her suitcase, shaking her head at each clothing item she saw. "Dammit, what was i thinking when i packed?" She muttered to herself. All she had was croptops and booty shorts, sunglasses and Calvin Klein bras to wear with jackets. She knew how Forks was, and she literally packed for Phoenix.
Sighing in frustration, she threw her suitcase to the floor. She resorted to her old closet, hoping things would still fit. She pulled out a black and green colored flannel, a grey tank top, and some black jeans ripped at the knees. Shrugging, she sighed and nodded. It would do for today, but soon she would need to go shopping.
Slipping her clothes on, she yanked her hair into a braid and brushed her teeth, jogging down the stairs. Grabbing her thermos of coffee, she slung her bag over her shoulder and walked into the kitchen. Charlie and Bella were sitting at the kitchen table having an awkward conversation, but Cecily was here to save them.
"Ready to roll, Bells? We wont be riding in the same vehicle but we should still go together." Cecily had her own car. She was older and wiser than Bella, so she could have her own car before Bella could have. But she had received a truck last night. Bella nodded, muttering, "Bye, dad."
"Bye, Charlie! We'll see you later." Cecily chirped, leaving the front door with Bella trailing behind her.
Cecily had a dark blue Honda that was always spotless and shiny. It was nice inside too, and smelled super clean.
Cecily climbed into her car, not noticing the blonde standing at the treeline, smiling nervously. She was ready to meet her mate. Well, while she was awake.
