Inside the Dreamy Crown cottage, a 17 year old male was pacing back forth, trying to regain his posture. He had been stressing since this morning. Every time Oozora Akari would come over he would lose composure. He never really knew why though, that was until a few weeks ago. He hated the fact that he started to feel this way. It almost felt wrong. He was basically in trouble now, because it was getting worse.
KNOCK KNOCK
"Crap." It was her. He peeked out of the window and saw that she was holding a brown and white drink, was it coffee? Probably, most people that visited would send a gift, a drink of some sort. Anxiety was definitely something that he had right now.
"Just a second!" He said as he ran to the bathroom, he looked in the mirror at his red face. "No dude, just no!" He yelled at his reflection.
Meanwhile, outside Akari was a panicked and shivering mess. She was pacing back and forth, waiting for him to open the door. Akari could hear footsteps coming toward the door and she stopped. Solid as a rock she waited for the door to open. The door moved slowly. So slowly that it was hard to notice Sena's hand shaking. The door was fully open and when the two made eye contact, all they could do was stare at each other in awkward silence.
Say something! They both thought in unison. Sena looked at the drink Akari was holding instead of her face.
"Uh, is that mine?" He asked. This broke Akari out of her trance.
"U-uh oh this? Yeah, here." She gave the cup to him, and he grabbed it without making contact with her hand. She was surprised at how quick he grabbed it from her. Was he okay? He turned around and walked toward the counter. Sena set the cup on the counter, but then quickly changed his mind and instead chugged the milkshake down. Oh it's not coffee... He threw it in the garbage quickly and then turned around. Akari was sitting on the couch, and setting her things down.
"So um, where do we begin?" He asked trying to take his mind of the fact that he was nervous. Akari, looked up and tried not to make direct eye contact.
"I'm not sure, anything you'd like to start with?" Akari asked, then added, "Anyyy drawings?"
"YeaH I'll go get them!" He said as he ran in the other room. Akari raised an eyebrow. That was strange, did his voice just crack?
"Hehe, he's so cute." She mumbled to herself. Ugghhhh snap out of it! Akari slapped her cheeks and closed her eyes.
Sena grabbed his design book from the back room and quickly went back into the main room, not before gulping like an idiot. He walked in and saw, Akari slapping herself with both hands. Her eyes were basically sealed shut. Has he ever seen her do this before? Was she okay? He took another quick glance at her.
"Cutie." He mumbled to himself. Crap. Luckily she didn't hear that. "Hey Oozorasan?"
Akari looked up and saw him sit his drawing book on the table in the middle of the room. "S-Sorry I was just... a little tired from all of the work I had today." She lied, well at least partially.
"Oh, well if you need anything, just let me know."
"Thank you..." Akari said looking away. Neither of them made eye contact with each other. There was another silence.
"S... Senasan?"
"Yes..."
"I was wondering... Are you feeling okay? You're voice kind of cracked earlier when you went in the other room." Sena gasped.
"Wait, it did? I didn't notice."
"Probably because you ran in there so fast, I think you almost fell too." Akari said it giggling a little bit. They still weren't making eye contact, but it was a bit less awkward now. Akari picked up the art book that Sena placed on the table, and flipped it open. "Oooo."
