Chapter 2: The Train Ride

It was the next day and Akari had just finished her last interview. Surprisingly there weren't that many today. She still had time to kill and decided to head to that new cafe that just opened. Akari walked into the cafe and went to the register. 

"How may I help you?" said the lady behind the counter. 

"Can I have a double chocolate milkshake-" she looked at her watch, "two double chocolate milkshakes to go please?" Akari asked.

"Anything else?" 

"No, that will be all." Akari sat down near the window and waited for her milkshakes. She didn't have as much time as she thought she did today. 

"Here's your order ma'am." The lady behind the counter said as she placed the milkshakes on the counter. Akari got up and grabbed the milkshakes off of the counter. 

"Thank you."

Akari checked her watch again. It was 4 PM(16:00) and she had to catch the train before 5. She walked out of the cafe and quickened her pace, but not so much that it would make the milkshakes spill.  Akari arrived at the train station at appoximately a half an hour later. One of the milkshakes was half gone, the other one's whip cream was deflated. Akari took another sip of the half full one just as the train was arriving. 

Akari moved to a seat by the window, and placed her bag under the seat. 

"Phew." She sighed, her head turned to the window and the view outside. The milkshakes were placed in separate cup holders. 

"Wow, two milkshakes, you look too skinny to drink all of that." A voice said from next to her. Akari quickly turned around and it was revealed to be Ichigo. Akari almost fell out her seat,

"I-Ichigosan!? What are you doing here?" She asked.

"I'm riding the train, the same thing you're doing." Ichigo said as she layed back in her seat.

"N-no I mean, where are you going? Don't you have o-other things to do? Like at school and stuff..."

"Nah, I'm on break today. What about you miss Starlight Queen? Where are you going all flustered like that?" When Ichigo said that Akari flinched. 

"W-what are you talking about?" Akari said trying putting her hands up to cover her face.

"It's written all over your face, you can't hide it from meee." Ichigo grabs Akari's hands away from her face with a smirk and Akari squeezes her eyes shut. "You're red as a pepper, tell mama Ichigo what's going on." 

"I-Ichigosan, stoppp." Akari squeals. This leads to Ichigo pinching her cheeks.

"No. Not until you tell me where you're going." She said, basically fighting Akari's hands away from her face. 

"O-Okay, I'll t-tell you if you stop pinching me!" Akaris voice was at maximum squeal at this point. Ichigo stopped pinching her cheeks. She rubbed them,"Why do you always have to tease me...? And who are you calling fat? You eat 3 large parfaits a day!" 

Ichigo pouted at Akari's remark, "You're lucky I didn't do the thing I used to do when we were touring!" Akari gasped.

"No-no! Please don't I'm sorry I don't think I can handle being tickled that much! I'll tell you where I'm going..." 

"You better-" Ichigo wiggled her fingers at Akari.

"O-kay..." Akari scooted closer to the window just to be safe, "This milkshake is for Senasan, I'm going to his place to talk about a new dress, that's it I swear!"

"Ooooh, I see. So if I read between the lines i'd say you have a crush on Senasan!" Akari was shocked when she said that, how did she know!?

"What! No I don't! Where did you get that from?"

"Akarichan, I'm not stupid, I've had crushes before." At this point there was no denying it, she was caught red handed.

"Why did you have to be here NOW?" Akari says, practically admitting it. She knew that Ichigo wouldn't buy her lies. Ichigo started to laugh,

"I knew it. You're head over heels. I figured something was up with you, how long has it been?"

"6 months, p-please don't tell anyone! Especially Sumire and Hinaki, they'd go nuts!"

"Woooww that's a long time! You must be dying!" Ichigo started to laugh even harder and Akari pouted,

"Ichigosan..."

"I'll tell you where I'm going then. But you can't tell anyone it's top secret." Ichigo said ending her laughter. Akari nodded. "I'm going..."

"You're going..."

"To go eat a parfait!" 

"Ichigosan!" Akari covered her face and Ichigo started laughing again. "You always do that!"

"Okay okay I couldn't help it, you were getting so intense. I'll actually tell you now." Ichigo moved closer to Akari, who was squeezed by the window. She got even closer and whispered, "I'm going on a date." Akari's eyes widened when she said that.

"You're WHAT!?"

"Ssssh, top secret remember. I'm going out of town because I don't want any scandals."

"Y-you have a boyfriend? How-"

"I've kept it for a long time, only about 3 people know. You being the third."

"So I'm guessing the other 2 are Ran and Aoi?" Akari asked. Ichigo nodded. "Then who-?"

Before Akari could finish the train stopped, and Ichigo got up, "Got to go."

"Ichigosan wait!" Ichigo quickly walked out the doors and waved before the door could close. Luckily, barely anyone was on the train to hear her yell the other idol's name. That sure left a big hole in her reasoning. If Ichigo had been dating for a long time like she said, didn't that mean it was possible Sena would be heartbroken? Or worse, fall into depression!? OR WORSE STOP BEING A DESIGNER FOR GOOD! This was baddddd. Akari didn't want Sena to feel this way! Even if she didn't have a chance with him, he didn't deserve to be heartbroken!

"Augghhhh, what am I gonna do!?" Akari asked herself out loud. And to no help at all, she had arrived at her stop. She grabbed both milkshakes and speed walked out the doors. Her anxiety levels just skyrocketed. She walked through the secluded forest with her heart getting more and more heavy. She took one last  sip of her milkshake before throwing it in the garbage. The other milkshake that she had was all liquid, with the cherry having sunk to the bottom. 

This was getting no where, she had to calm down and figure this out. 

"Akari, you can do this, just pretend you don't like him and move on. Hand him the drink, and tell him it was because you wanted to see what he thought about it. That's it." Akari slapped her cheeks, "Aright! Lets do this!"

Akari then stiffly walked through the forest, over the bridge and found the open field. There it was, the Dreamy Crown headquarters (lol). Akari you got this. She thought as she walked toward the place. Step. Step. Step. Step. Step. Step. Step. STOP. Akari found herself right in front of the Dreamy Crown cottage and as soon as she was about to knock on the door, all of the anxiety came rushing like a flood.
