Chapter 2
Jacie stormed out of her class. As she walked out, she bumped into Landon.
"Hey Jacie!"
"Just leave me alone. You're going to be like all the other boys here and make fun of me!!!"
"Jacie, I'm not like other kids...I love you and I want to be with you."
"No you don't...you don't want to be with someone as broken as I am. All I will do is cause you pain."
Jacie ran away from Landon as fast as possible before she started crying. When the bell rang, Jacie got up and began to walk home. As Jacie was walking, she noticed a group of boys following her.
"Hey there slut," one of the boys shouted.
Jacie began walking faster and with every word the boys said, she moved faster and faster.
"I'm talking to you, bitch! Turn around and talk to me."
"No!!! Just leave me alone....All I'm doing is walking home and you're harassing me for no reason!!!"
"Get back here loser. We just want to have some fun!!"
"Hey!!!! Leave her alone." Landon yells.
Jacie stops on a dime. She turns around, and to her surprise, Landon is standing there defending her. Landon is getting angry with these people who he calls friends. Jacie smiles and runs home. She is surprised that anyone would be nice to her or defending her.
