Victoria's POV (next day)
This one is a LONG one
I barely got homework done because I was too busy thinking about our mystery. Also, I woke up late...AGAIN! But this time i made it before the bell rang.
"Oh gosh late AGAIN?!" You guessed it. Kendra.
"Sorry, I was just tired last night."
"Doing what? Dreaming about your imaginary boyfriend?"
"I'M TOO YOUNG."
"You didn't deny it."
"Alright, I was..."
"YOU ACTUALLY WERE DREAMING?!"
"Let me finish, I was too busy think about OUR MYSTERY!"
"Oh. Vicky, you ruined the juice."
"What juice are we talking about?"
"The delicious one."
"..."
"You got to be kidding me."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"The gossips about love life! All the gossips people are talking about these days."
"What?"
"You know, we barely have a day where we are just normal teenagers. We're always like 'what's the mystery' or 'let's do our mission.' We got to live up the life and just enjoy it being ourselves, ya know."
I thought of that for a moment, and Kendra is right. We've always had missions to do and not experience what 'normal' middle school feels like. We've been too caught up to finishing the the mission and getting a new one each day. We barely have time to ourselves.
"Yeah, you're right."
"Cool. So I was planning on have a girls night, today"
"Did I just hear what I've never believed I would hear?" We both turn around and see the boys behind us looking confused as ever.
Kendra- "Yep, we are having a girls night."
Matthew- "What about the mission?"
Me- "We barely get time to be 'normal' teenagers." We should live up the life and just be ourselves."
The boys looks at each other and Josh smiles while Matthew looks unsure.
Josh- "Yeah, we should take a break from all this. Mind if we join you?"
Kendra and I look at each other since it's "girls night."
Kendra- "I don't see why not. Meet up at Vicky's house."
We all agree and start walking to math class together. Yes, we are all FINALLY in the same class together.
While I was walking I looked to find Matthew looking a bit down. I slow down and decide to talk to him.
"Hey Matthew, what's wrong?"
"...nothing"
"I know something it wrong."
"Victoria, really it's nothing."
"Just tell me."
"There's nothing to say. Let's get to class."
What has happened to him?
———-
We are now in Math class, the best class I ever have since it's with all my friends. And, we have the best teacher, Mr. Davis. He lets us do what we want unless we pay attention and remain good.
