Kyungsoo's POV
The morning was crisp and cool as I walked down the sidewalk. The leaves crunched beneath my feet as the music played through my earphones. I had only been outside for 10 minutes and I could already feel my ears and nose become cold and red. Since my skin was so fair, I always ended up looking like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer in either the heat or in the cold. By the time I got to my school, my ears and nose were frozen, I was worried I had frozen snot hanging from my nose.

I ambled through the hall and finally arrived at my locker. I turned the dial and just as I opened the gray door, a black envelope fluttered down onto the floor.

"Wha-" I mumbled in confusion as I bent down to pick it up. The envelope was a faded black with a red ribbon tied around it. It looked very official and important with the red wax seal on the back and the way my name was written. I shoved it into my backpack and quickly gathered the books I needed for my class.

"KYUNGSOO!" A loud and high pitched voice pierced through the loud hallway. I couldn't help but groan internally.

"Why do you have to screech whenever you see me? We were together just yesterday." I covered my face with my hands to hide the blush appearing over my cheeks. I hate being put on the spot and my friends know that, which is why they sound like pterodactyls whenever they see me. Baekhyun's arms were suddenly draped around my shoulders and I could feel his weight on me.

"I'm not gonna answer because you already know the answer to that question."

"Yeah and I hate it. You're lucky I haven't disowned you." Baekhyun rolled his eyes and snorted.

"As if you could live without this gorgeous face. You love me too much." He grinned confidently and flipped his hair. I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"I have to go to class. I'll see you at lunch." I shrugged his arms off my shoulder, sighing softly as the weight was lifted. Despite Baekhyun being thin and small, he was pretty heavy. Actually, on second thought, I might just be weak.

The lunch bell finally rang. The clambor of students in the hall suddenly got louder. I quickly gathered my belongings and slung my backpack over my shoulders. I mentally prepared myself to walk through the hallways. My school was a little too small considering how many students were enrolled. I was almost always jostled around while I tried pushing through the crowd. The doors to the cafeteria were a mere 10 feet away yet it seemed like miles away. After some time of being pushed back and to the side, I finally made it. I'd only been in line for five seconds when I heard, yet again, my name being screamed. A sigh escaped my lips as I grabbed a tray and grabbed what I wanted to eat, which wasn't a lot. With my head down and my hood covering my face, I made my way through the lunch room and to the table that housed my group of friends. Before they could say anything, I retrieved the envelope from my bag and set it on the table.

"Did anyone else get one of these?"

"No but it looks cool. Can I open it?" Jongdae reached over in an attempt to grab the envelope only to retract his hand when I smacked it.

"No! It's mine. I want to open it." It was obvious I was nervous. My hands trembled slightly as I slid the ribbon off. "Do you recognize this symbol?" I showed them the wax stamp on the back of the envelope. They all leaned forward, crowding around to examine the seal.

"Oh my god," Baekhyun gasped. "Kyungsoo that's the Alistair family crest." His eyes went wide with awe. "Do you realize who they are?" I felt a little embarrassed as I shook my head no.

"No, I don't know who they are. Why are you making such a big deal about them?" As soon as those words left my mouth, I immediately regretted them. Baekhyun's eyes glimmered with enthusiasm.
