Jongin's POV
"Why won't you agree to meet the new kid?" Sehun shoved me forward. He was getting
obviously very irritated with how I was acting. "You signed up for this stupid welcome committee and now you won't even do your job?" He rolled his eyes. I didn't bother responding to him. The reason for my refusal to work was simple. The academy hadn't been getting many new kids and the ones that did show up were often very nerdy and preppy looking.

"You know exactly why I don't want to do my job anymore, Sehun." I snapped, almost yelling but managing to keep my temper under control.

"You never know, maybe this time it'll be different." Sehun began going through his closet looking for his uniform. "Hurry up and get dressed. Ezra will be here in 15 minutes." He gathered his clothes and went to the bathroom to change.

"So what if he's gonna be here? He won't do anything to me and you know it." I needed to catch up on my sleep anyway. Sehun walked out of the bathroom and looked over at me.

"Don't come crying when he lowers your merits, again." I didn't even notice he picked up a pillow but I suddenly felt a weight on my chest. "Whatever, I'm leaving. Keep an eye on your mark." Sehun buttoned the cuffs of his shirt and walked out of the room.

"My mark." I scoffed. "There's no way anyone has the same mark as me. It's been years and I haven't met anyone yet." I rolled onto my stomach and buried my face in a pillow, closing my eyes. Maybe Sehun was right, what if it's different this time?

Kyungsoo's POV
"Kyungsoo! Welcome to Sīdereus Nox Academy." A man's voice sounded out from somewhere when I was getting my bags out of the car and nearly dropped them on my toes. Three men in black clothes appeared from the darkness along with another male in red in the middle.

"H-hi?" I arched a brow. The three men gathered my luggage and stood to the side. The man in red held out his hand.

"Welcome. I'm Ezra Alistair." He smiled, his teeth perfectly straight and pearly white. I nodded simply.

"Nice to meet you."

"Likewise. We've been awaiting your arrival. You have no idea what an honor it is to have you at our school. I trust your family informed you of your history?"

"Partly. I don't mean to be rude or anything but what do you mean when you say it's an honor having me here. As far as I know, I'm just an ordinary- well as ordinary as you can get being a vampire."

"I shouldn't be the one to ask about that. Your parents, or if not one of the elders should be the one you ask. Anyway, let's get you settled in, shall we? Once we have your bags in your room and everything else taken care of, two of my students will show you around. You can also shadow them for today to see what school and life is like here." I plastered a smile on my face and nodded. The three guys walked off with my bags. "Follow me." Ezra started off towards a gated entrance. The same symbol that was on the letter was on the top of the gates.

"So, Mr. Alistair-"

"Oh, please, just call me Ezra. I'm not very fond of formalities." Ezra chuckled.

"O-okay...Ezra. Uhm...what does Sīdereus Nox mean, exactly? I mean it's latin, but I don't know what it means." I looked at the headmaster in confusion. Literally the only latin I knew was from my biology classes.

"It means starry night, original right?" There was a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "I wish we could change it but we can't. It's kind of well known around the world and that's what my family originally named it." I nodded in understanding.

"Ezra, forgive me for being rude, but may I see your mark? I'm curious about the different kinds." Ezra looked at me.

"My mark? Oh, sure." He unbuttoned his suit jacket and pulled off the right sleeve revealing a string of vines curling down and around his arm. The mark ended on his hand with an intricate swirl of what looked like flowers.
