"jeongguk-ah?" jimin called, poking his head around the corner. he was going to see if the maknae wanted to go out and get some food. "jeongguk-ah, where'd you go?"

seokjin looked up from his phone.

"oh, jiminie. jeongguk left to go shopping with taehyung a few minutes ago."

the singer couldn't help but pout.

"and they didn't invite me? tae's my best friend," he whined. the older just shrugged.

"maybe they just wanted to be by themselves. ooh, maybe they're out on a date."

jimin couldn't help but wince at that. there was no way jeongguk and taehyung were dating. tae had just been gushing about the girl he liked, there's no way he could have feelings for jeongguk... right?

hoseok noticed jimin's sad expression and patted him on the head.

"poor jiminie... do you want to hang out for a bit? i've been meaning to get my phone fixed. i'm never letting namjoon touch it again," he grumbled.

"ah, can we get food while we're out? it's almost seven and i still haven't eaten..." jimin mumbled as his stomach made a strange noise. hobi just laughed and grabbed his wrist, pulling him along. "wait! hyung! i need a mask!"

"i've got you covered."

he handed jimin one of the two in his pocket as they hopped into the older's car.

"i think a new panda express just opened near the mall, do you mind stopping there? i just want some chicken and rice."

hoseok nodded as he started the car, and soon enough, they were driving down the road with music blasting from the speakers.

"g-give it to me!" jimin sang, head bopping along. "yoongi-hyung is such a talented rapper," he gushed. "all three of you are!"

the rapper grinned happily.

"aw, thanks jimin! i'm so glad that armys seem to really like our solo work as well, and they're really excited for namjoon's new mixtape. he hasn't let me listen to any of the tracks yet. and i'm his best friend!" he pouted. jimin giggled.

"don't worry, it's coming out in a few days! do you think either you or yoongi-hyung will-"

"not for a while. i released hope world a few months ago, and hyung's busy working on music for our next album."

they sat in comfortable silence for a few minutes as serendipity started to play.

"ooh! it's your solo!"

jimin nodded and happily.

"i think i performed it really well during our tour," he said shyly with a soft smile. hobi squealed a bit.

"ah, you're so cute, jiminie! jeongguk needs to confess to you before you fall for someone else."

the younger froze.

"e-excuse me?"

as they pulled into a parking spot, hoseok turned down the volume and made eye contact with jimin.

"jimin, you don't need to hide anything from me. i'm not going to judge you. it's pretty obvious that you're in love with jeongguk, and i don't know how you don't see that he's in love with you too."

jimin turned a deep red.

"stop being ridiculous, hyung. there's no way jeongguk likes me. he's probably not even gay."

hobi just shook his head and sighed.

"whatever. let's just get your food."

the singer was too busy thinking about his hyung's words that he almost didn't see jeongguk and taehyung sitting at a table in the corner.

"taehyung-ah? jeonggukie?"

they both turned, and jimin could've sworn he saw his best friend wiggle his eyebrows at the maknae, but he dismissed it as part of his imagination.

"jimin-ah! what are you and hoseokie-hyung doing here?"

"we're going to get his-"

"we're on a date!"

jimin wasn't sure if it was just his imagination, but jeongguk poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue.

"just kidding! we're getting my phone fixed."

the two sitting both let out a sigh of relief. jimin slapped hoseok's arm.

"hyung! why did you say that?" he whined as hobi tried to dodge his vicious assault.

"yah! jiminie! stop it! it was just a joke!"

a low chuckle caused jimin to stop in his tracks. jeongguk smiled his signature bunny grin at him, laughing at their antics.

his stomach was filled with butterflies as he gazed at the youngest member. his heart must've been beating a million miles an hour.

"you're so cute, jimin-hyung!"

jimin's heart exploded.
