*Elle's pov*
I really do miss my parents. It's like as each day goes by I feel like I am losing them. I can barely remember their voices, their laughs, and how mama use to sing. Plus, my Uncle Landon is drinking more. Aunt Shyla may think that I don't know he comes home drunk, but I do know. Aunt Shyla is the real one struggling right now. She has been stressed out with getting me to therapy, getting my Uncle Landon to his meetings and getting to her classes. I really hope she is okay.
Therapist: Hi, Elle how have you been doing.
Elle: Okay I guess. Have been having nightmares again. The one from last night was new.
Therapist: Okay can you tell me about it.
Elle: Ok. So I was sleeping in my bed until I heard my dad's voice saying that it was all my fault for their death. Them my mom is standing next to him with an evil grin on her face. She then pushes me in a river. And then I woke up sweating and crying.
Therapist: Elle I want try something. Close your eyes and imagine your parents. Then think about the great memories. Now think about your aunt and uncle. Now imagine both your parents and your aunt and uncle.
I do as she tells me and imagine my mom, dad, aunt, and uncle. We were all so happy.
Therapist: Now every time you get sad or have a nightmare, think about how happy they make you.
Elle:Okay.
She is right I need to stop blaming myself for that accident. It is time to get it together.
