Chapter 12: Cape Caem & Altissia(LEMON)

Liz's POV

We arrived at Cape Caem at evening and we decided to set sail in the morning after. Iris was going to stay here with Talcott and we were going to Altissia by ourselves.
We called the night inside the seaside shack and once again, I shared a bed with Ignis. This night however, I couldn't sleep well and decided to go outside for a bit to get some fresh air.
I heard familiar footsteps approaching me half an hour after I got out of bed and realized who it was.

"Oh,it might be perhaps because of Lady Lunafreya and the Hydrean's covenant. I know it is perilous,but it is also necessary in order to increase Noct's power. Everything will be allright,we'll be there for him."
"..I do hope you're right.."
"Let's not worry about something that haven't happened yet. Besides, I would like to bring you out for dinner with me when we are there. It's famous for its cooking. Shall we return to bed?"
"..Yeah..let's go. And thanks for the invite."

We soon drifted off to sleep,but I was still worried..it was not quite right. But I guess there's no point in dwelling on the future. I would do my best to protect Noct and all the citizens if it is necessary. I know Ignis would do so too.

The ride on the boat was slow, and my heart was twisting in my chest. Ignis noticed I was too quiet. He took hold of my hand and squeezed it lightly.
"Still thinking about something bad might happen,love?"
"...Um,yeah.. I'm sorry to not be as eager as Prompto and the guys. I'll be allright,so you can go and celeb-"
"No,no. It's fine. I want to stay with you,we already did celebrate opening a bottle of Champagne. Prompto loved it. His first time having an alcoholic drink.."

He leaned in and kissed my lips,passing some sort of security and comfort to me,wanting to ease my internal struggle. His lips tasted like champagne. I kissed him back with full force,tangling my fingers in his hair. Loosening the embrace, I caressed his cheek and thanked him.
He just smiled and stood by my side until we passed Altissia's gates.
The city itself was huge,much more beautiful and livier than I imagined it would be. It was all enveloped in pristine waters,resembling Venice. So romantic as well.

Ignis went ahead and secured a room for a week,since we arrived early and would want to see Lady Lunafreya's speech before the covenant take place. When he was done,we went to a restaurant to have lunch and chat about our plans in the city. The day was peaceful. Ignis holding my hand and staying by my side definately helped to ease the knot in my stomach. The boys separated from us and went to explore the city and we agreed we would meet in the restaurant area at night to have dinner.
After dinner,we went to the hotel. Ignis gave the room key to Noctis and parted ways with me to another room. I was confused,but followed him nonetheless. I then realized he reserved a suite only for us and I gave a broad smile. He chuckled a bit and guided me to the balcony.
"Beautiful night,isn't it love?"
"It is indeed. Would you like to have a bath with me,just like the one we had? It seems like ages.."
"Of course love. I'm going to get the water running"
