I woke up, drenched in sweat and tears. It was dawn.
As a routine for the past few days, I stood up,took a deep breath, washed my face and came by to check on my beloved.
Still the same. Pale, fragile, skinnier, eyes closed in a deep slumber. I kissed her cheek and exited her room. Went right to the maternity aisle where my son and daughter were kept in incubators.

I remembered everything.

Felt a goosebump when I remembered every detail of the dream with the former kings of Lucis and the vision with Liz. I knew what was to come, only paid a great price for it and probably would feel guilty for the rest of my life.

But what was done, was done. No turning back.

============Time skip===========

Almost a week has passed since the promise has been made. Liz didn't wake up, to no avail and I began to suspect if she was going to, someday.
Maybe I was deceived? But why would the kings do that?
My children were still under intensive care and everything was stable. I just wanted to leave this hospital with my family safe and sound. But as it seems, all that was left for me to do was pray to the Six and ask humbly for this nightmare to end as soon as possible.

I also kept in touch with my comrades to see how they were faring, since my duty as Royal Adviser was on hold by the prince himself. Gladiolus was in charge and they were doing occasional hunts in order to get a hint to where were the crystal located but Prompto alerted me Noctis was getting more tired than usual. His headaches before fighting Titan had returned,more intense also. I couldn't help but worry about him. Prompto reassured me he was going to be allright and that I should focus on my  family right now, but even so the Prince's safety never leaved my thoughts.

I hope that's not a bad omen.
