I'm completely lost without you

Chapter 2

I sat down on the couch, devastated.
"Please, Ry , we will find a way, I promise." I explained.
"Hmmm... that's another another promise that I guarantee will not be kept." He said in a factual tone.
"I'm serious. I don't want this relationship to end because of something I did. I love you. I really do and I don't want 3 years to go to waste."
He pulled me into a big hug and I fell asleep in his arms. It was the first time I felt like he was going to forgive me.

I woke up suddenly and realised Ryan was gone. I shot my eyes in the direction of the clock and saw it was 10:30am. I had an epiphany that Ryan had gone to work. Ryan worked at the local supermarket and scanned people's groceries; if you ask me that's pretty boring but it isn't me in that position so... oh well. Ryan had previously told me that it was a well paid job, and he got groceries off the shelves after work.

I presumed that Ryan was on a late shift, so gave Gabby a call to see what she was up to.
"Hey Gabby." I said semi sadly.
"Hey Maya, what's the situation with Ryan?" She of course knew.. she was my best friend after all.
"He just left for work like 30mins ago, but he practically told me that he doesn't trust me." I said in annoyance.
"What are you doing with your life? Break up with him. Your moping around with not a thing to do in the world. Just do it. You need someone that is forgiving, willing to give you a second chance." Gabby said in a confident voice.
"I love him though. You know that. I don't want 3 years of commitment to just go down the drain. Just like that. I'm not going to give up on us."

After Gabby and I's 2 hour long phone call, she proposed the idea that we meet up at our favourite coffee shop; Cow and Bean, to have our weekly chat. I ordered a Caramel Frappuccino, like I always did.
"Have you ever had sex?" Asked Gabby in a sexy tone..
"No, I'm not ready for that yet." I gave her the looks, she already knew that.
"There's your problem! Guys want sex. If you really want him, you have to sacrifice things, and in this case it's your virginity!" She spoke.
"Gabby that's gross! I'm only 17!" I said disgusted.
"And he's 19, that age that they want sex!" She said happily.
"No. No. No. I'm not even going to go there."

I knew what Gabby was talking about, but Ryan and I had never discussed the saucy side of our relationship, I just wanted to keep things simple and significant. But Gabby was right. If I wanted to be committed I had to give up my possessions. Gabby knew some guys that were around Ryan's age... maybe she could ask them what 'they like'. But then again I don't know I'm not a 19 year old creep...
