Jack, excited, is driving the Fenton RV like a madman, his loving wife in the passenger seat. Danny and Sam in the back.
"Hey, Dad? I appreciate the thought, but what is going on again? You grabbed me and picked up Same before letting me ask before" Danny asked, still partially tired, as Sam fixes his hair.
"Oh, sweetie! Your father and I thought a vacation would be nice." Maddie answered, with enthusiasm.
"That's right, my boy!" Jack began, "Our own ghost-hunting superhero son needs a break after saving the world! Besides, you and Sam need this just as much as we do. The Fenton men spending time with the special ladies in their life. I bet you're glad I gave you that engraved ring, aren't you? No need to thank me!"
Danny eyed the ring he gave Sam, and blushed.
"The whole thing is new to my parents." Sam replied, "it took forever to convince them to let me go. How did you do it?"
"I told them we were going to help you and Danny search for colleges."
"In other words, you were bragging about Jazz." Jazmine Fenton had been accepted by both Harvard and Stanford, and was going on a tour of both campuses.
"You know it, Manson!"
Danny cut in, "Where are we going, anyway?"
Maddie answered "We are going to the Wonder Wharf!"
"Wharf?"Sam and Danny looked at each other, then back at the Fenton parents, in confusion.
"Now, kids, no need to worry about doing any wharfing! There is a very successful pizza place, Jimmy Pesto's Pizza. And across the street is some local burger chain that is supposed to be really good. Tom's Burgers, I think it's called."
Danny looked at Sam, and uttered "This is the longest dad has gone on without mentioning ghosts or his inventions."
"And if there's time," Jack began "Maybe we can break out the Fenton Thermos and catch some of the local ghosts in town! Oh, I heard about..." Jack continued blabbering, but the teens had zoned out at this point.
Danny and Sam looked at each other once again, with Sam replying: "You were saying?" Danny merely responded with a facepalm.
