Strolling down sunset streets,
Looking up at the sand storm,
Everything enclosing in,
The skies most beautiful
Before darkness begins to crawl in.Her beauty lasts for minutes,
She shines,
Until he comes along,
Owning the skies,
Darkening everything,
He fills her space with
His huge dark skies. But only to protect her,
From the sins that made him dark,
Only to protect her fragile eyes
From the sins of the night.Until she awakes again at sunrise,
Her beauty shines through
As he stares at her,
He was once that way,
Youthful and happy,
Before the sins of the night
Darkened him.-
DelicatelyDeadly3A little backstory, I was inspired by a post on Pinterest about the sun and the moons lost love.
However, interpret this how you like, that's the beauty of poetry.
