A little over a year ago, Zara developed an obsession with two conflicting things: flowers, particularly roses, and Isaac Nakahara.
Despite the fact that these two… entities were not in any way associated or analogous, they proved to be just as troubling. If I’m being perfectly honest, I always knew Isaac Nakahara was no good, but I never would’ve guessed that Zara’s extravagant fondness for flowers would result in such horrid consequences.
I’ll admit, sometimes her mania did seem a bit worrying, but I never thought much of it nor of the flowers. And when I did, it was often distaste for the deceiving creations.
Flowers are, in the simplest of terms, natural disasters. They are chaotic aberrations, intended to be observed from afar. Yet they lure you in like the insect you are with their colourful, bright petals and sickeningly sweet scents. And while you’re admiring this seemingly innocent creation, trailing your fingers delicately because of its presumed fragility, it takes the opportunity of this thoughtless proximity to stab you with its thorns.
I guess maybe Isaac wasn’t that different from a flower.
