I arrive at the hospital and stealthily make my way to the up to the private doctor's suite that houses the communal showers.

I absolutely dread the thought of showering where others have, but I don't have a choice.

I stop in the locker room and drop off my Louis Vuitton garment and travel bags that have my spare clothes and toiletries in them before heading to the supply closet.

I don't find any bleach, but there are thankfully a couple of bottles of chlorhexidine cleanser, which is a powerful antimicrobial soap that we surgeons use on our hands and forearms before surgeries

I also grab a large plastic bag to put my stinky, flea infested clothes and shoes in, as well as a few towels and a washcloth, but frown at the scratchy feel of them. Granted, they are nicer than the ones given to patients, but completely sub-par compared to the plush Turkish cotton sets I have at my homes.

I grab the Ten Voss shampoo, Creed Green Irish Tweed body wash, and the Kiehl's Facial Fuel cleanser out of my toiletries bag and empty my pockets – stowing Amara's custody paperwork and my gun safely in my large tote.

I quickly shed my clothes and shoes – everything but my watch, and gladly throw them into the plastic bag for disposal.

I hop into the shower and let the hot water cascade over my body for a moment, enjoying the thought of the smell, germs, and fleas washing down the drain.

I frown again though, noticing the water is unfiltered, hard water that's full of lime scale and impurities.

It's better than nothing right now, I suppose...

I wash my hair and face before thoroughly scrubbing my body down with the chlorhexidine. I go over it with my scented body wash, so that I don't smell so medicinal.

I rinse off, step out, and dry myself before drying off my shampoo and cleansers. I put them back in my bag and grab my Theodent toothpaste and toothbrush, Floris Rose concentrated mouthwash, Creed Original Santal shaving soap, my classic Horn 5 blade razor, Clarins Shave Ease Two-In-One oil, NuBo cell dynamic cooling aftershave moisturizer, Sisley Eau de Campagne deodorant spray, Patricks S2 hair pomade, my Martial Vivot comb, the Tom Ford hydrating lip balm, and my cologne.

I make quick work of brushing my teeth, shaving, putting on deodorant, and getting dressed.

I finish by styling my hair and spritzing myself with my Le Labo Santal 33 cologne.
