Hello.
It's been literally over one year, maybe and a half, since I have abandoned this work and the fandom. Besides from having issues to deal with such as borderline divorce, looking for a job, searching for a culinary school to enroll myself in, mental health, etc., I simply cannot continue this book at all.
My reasoning is that the fandom has changed drastically from what I knew over a decade ago by: people becoming toxic over ships, harrassing members of the production behind the animation and channel as well as people linked to those involved, driving people out because it is so stressful to even glance at the tag at this point.
I'm not going to say that Edd would be disappointed because we all have heard that, but I am disappointed that people have become like this over an internet cartoon. There's no excuse of what it has done to us to our daily life, even worse for Thomas and co., especially Tord.
This is not to diss everyone, this is a warning to let you all know that you have to change.
Stop harrassing people over noncanon relationships.
Stop harrassing Matthew to release videos.
Stop exposing children to this toxic behaviour.
Stop exposing children to (fetish) porn because you didn't care to tag it.
It's been amazing making friends over this little thing that suddenly became big, but not even them can be the remedy to this.
