I was downstairs sitting at the counter when Aiden came in.
“Whoa, you look like crap,” he said.
“Thanks.”
“No, I’m serious. Did you get any sleep last night,” he asked.
“Ya tons,” I lied.
He looked at me, seeing right through it. “Ya sure.” He walked over to the cabinet and grabbed muffin. “Where’s mom?”
“She left early, so we’re on our own.”
He groaned. “We have to walk again.” I laughed. “What’s so funny about that, you’re walking too.”
“Actually I’m not,” I said. “But you can if you want.” He looked at me like what are you talking about. “Mom’s job gave her a car to drive around, so we get you use her car.”
“Yes,” he shouted fist pumping the air. “Why didn’t you just tell me that from the beginning? Save me the torture, meany.”
I laughed. “Hurry up, I’m ready to go.” I grabbed my bag and walked out of the house. A few minutes later, Aiden came running out of the house and hooped in the car. He popped in his headphones and the rest of the ride to school was silent.
When we got there, once again we were the center of attention. But it wasn’t as bad as it was yesterday; everyone else’s attention seemed to be focuses more things than us.
As soon as I got out of the car, I was attacked by Mira. “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh,” she said bouncing up and down. “I missed you so much Lela.”
I laughed. “I missed you to Mira.”
“My friends are back. I want you and Aiden to meet them,” she said grabbing our arms and pulling us over to where she had come from. Man she was strong for her size, but hey I couldn’t talk because I was shorter than her.
We stopped in front of a big group of students. “Lela, Aiden, this is my little brother Daniel.” Daniel was large, not fat large, but muscular large, like he belonged on the football team. He had tan color skin, and he was so tall that he had to tower over three fourths of the people in this school. He had the same color hair as his sister, which was styled upwards in long wavy spikes. He had a nice baby face, except for the stitched scar running down the right of his eye. But even that made him look cute.
“Don’t call me little,” Daniel said. “I’m a man.
“Sure you are,” Mira snorted. “Next to him is Brenton, Gray, and finally Carter.”
Gray was average height for a guy. He had spiky black colored hair and dark blue eyes. His body was toned and muscular, but not like Daniel’s. Brenton pretty much had the same description as Gray. He too was muscular, with spiky hair. He just had a just had a slightly dark tan and his eyes were black. Carter on the other hand had dark, long scarlet hair with brown eyes. And she had an amazing slender figure that any girl would die for.
“So you’re the girl everyone’s been talking about,” Brenton said with a serious expression.
“Uh ya, I guess so,” I mumbled. What has everyone been saying about me?
“Well then,” Brenton smiled. “I’d love to be your friend.”
“What makes you think she wants to be friends with you,” Gray butted in.
“Because I’m awesome duh,” Brenton responded. “I mean who wouldn’t want to be my friend.”
Gray laughed. “Me obviously. I mean look at you, 100% sure she’d rather be my friend then yours.”
