Love and Hate

I don't understand it.

How can someone hate another

For loving someone of the same gender.

It doesn't make sense to me.

I wish the world wasn't so cruel.

I wish the world wouldn't judge.

A person is a person,

No matter their gender or who they love.

Of course, the world judges, and they hate

But we're on route to making it a better place.

I worry about my friends, those who don't have

Acceptance at home.

Those who can't be themselves around their parents

Because their parents are too closed minded.

Too stupid.

Too hateful.

I'm waiting and praying for a better world
