Chapter One
Marshall's POV
I been searching for a place. A place that I can terrorize. The Candy Kingdom. Some of my friends had told me about this place and I've been wanting to pull some certain pranks for a while, and now I can! When I got there the first thing I did was check out the castle. I wanted to know who I would have to deal with after my work is done.
I saw on one of the balconys stood a boy. He was about seven- ten years old. His hair, skin and eyes were all different shades of pink. He had a small crown on his head. I'm guessing he's the prince of this place. I have heard from my friends that he never really does anything, so he wouldn't be hard to deal with.
I kinda felt sad for him. I also heard he had no friends his age. That reminded me of my childhood, and I'm really just here to scope things out, so why not say hi to the kid. He might as well get use to seeing me.
I made my way to the balcony, not being able to be seen by anyone because of my ablilty to turn invisble. I flew up, now visible, to meet him. He gasped and backed up. "Hey! don't worry I won't hurt you!' I said while putting my hands up. He stopped, looking into my eyes. "Why are you here, sir?" "You'll find out. My name is Marshall Lee. Yours?" "Bonnibelo, but you can call me Gumball, or Bubba." "Okay Gumball, are you a prince?" he nodded.
I saw in the distance one of my worst enemies, the sun. "Hey Gumball, can we go somewhere else, somewhere without sunlight? I explain when we get there."
He nodded again and grabbed my hand. "Woooooh!" I yelled as he pulled me inside. He giggled a little as he dragged me down a few corridors and stairs, until he brought me to a wall. It had had a decoration with a empty candle holder on edge of the right end of the wall
He flipped it to the left sideways. The wall creaked as it slowly moved. I stared in awe as it revealed a very dark room. He pulled me inside and the wall shut.
There was a dim light from a tiny window that was to high up for me to be hit with. Gumball grabbed a oil-lit lantern, and lit it along with a few candles with some matches, lighting up the room.
It was an old, dusty, hidden libary that had about twenty grand bookcases, that were filled with hundreds upon hundreds of books. There were five tables, there was one small one in each of the four corners and a huge one in the middle. Each small table had three candles, while the big one had seven candles.
We were located at the bottom left corner. This is the only table that had anything on it either than the candles. It had one book.
It appeared to be old, older than me. It had a faded leather cover with only a little bit of string holding it in place. It was a little dusty, but I didn't blow it off because I feared the whole thing would fall apart.
"Gumball, do you know what this is?" I said, holding the relic delicately in my hand. it wasn't huge, but it was small either. "D- father told me it was a magical book, and it will tell a prophecy. It only shows enough information when needed." I looked through the first- fourth page.
It was talking about how certain people can have many powers, but will only be given at a certain age. By then, they must find another person that has been chosen to 'guide' them towards both of their destinies. I'm guessing this person must be their soulmate or true love or something like that.
"Do you know who this book is about?" "Of course! Father says it's suppose to tell me what I'm suppose to do in my life. And you never told me why we had to get out of the sunlight, or what you are." he said sternly.
"Well Gumball, I am a vampire. Actually the king of the vampires. And I can't go out in sunlight, because it burns my skin. And if I stay out to much, I turn to ash."
He looked at me with tearful eyes. He came over and hugged me tight "I will make sure the never happens to you Marshall! Never!" There was now tears in my eyes. Does this kid really care about me this much? He pulled away. "I can't lose you Marshall. Even though we just met I already think of you as my best friend." "R-really?" "mmhmm"
"Well I think of you as a good friend as well." he smiled at me. After that we talked a lot. Mostly about his life. He says in his parents eyes he's the 'perfect' child. Maybe I could change that.
Gumball's POV
This is the best day ever! I've finally made a friend! He listen about my life so far, I even told him about my secret. Mostly because, I think he's the one. The one that will guide me.
